Armenia was a blast, but work and such have kept me out of woods. Ready for Long Cane this weekend. Just saw Big Wrench post about Sat. Riding, so may go up early. I'm VERY envious of the trials bike. I bet it IS fun! How to see you up Abbeville way this weekend.

You don't know BigWrench...like a Weeble, he wobbles, but he won't fall down. Big bikes aren't bad if you never have to porch them up... Like Ken.

Staying at the lodge at the state park, plan on basking by the pool with a high capacity insulated mug...

See y'all on Sunday...no more flaming skulls, now it's 3 eyed pigs!

StolenFant, will you ever turn off the "word suggestion" thingie on that Droid? We need a code manual to decipher your posts. :lol3 I thought of you when I was clearing some trail late Thursday. Last night and this morning, it's evident that the red bugs/chiggers/nasty lil' MFers were doing more than thinking of me.

BigWrench, how are you and the GRN KLR coming up and over today? I might TXT you in a few hours.

Laura, There is nothing "pig-ish" about that fellow holding the "pichers" sign. Funny ref to OB-1 sticker though. Also, I promise to proofread when using Tap-a-talk from now on. For some reason it misses my Swype dictionary.

Hope y'all had a great time at Long Cane on Sunday! I was over that way riding on Saturday in the Sumter NF but didn't get as far North as the OHV trails. I did see what looked like a green KLR at one point headed NW on US25 out of Edgefield. The GRN KLR is not communicating with me right now, so not sure if that was BigWrench or not. Don't know what I did (or said, more likely), but I'm sorry! :confused

    Laura offensive?
No way! All that sweetness, cant be a sour bone in her body!

Hope he's OK, watched him leave the Long Cane trailhead. He's probably busy at work.

I'm waiting for his ride report!

Sorry I missed your text Laura, my I phone has terrible battery life and I had trouble with my charger socket. Long cane was great, but I did drop the GRN KLR after sliding down a mud hill into a tree. CAW is a must experience at least once, it was fun even on the KLR but I do suggest good dirt tires. Parson's mtn OHV is one of my favorite rides. I'm still recuperating, hope to ride with yall again soon.

Rode the north loop this Sunday evening, it was wet so the GRN KLR was liking it alot. My normal Monday night bible study is cancelled this week so I'll be riding the north loop again after work Monday. I'll be leaving A R E Auto Repair Experts at 5:30 pm and should be at the trailhead around 6:45. It will hopefully still be wet and cooler to ride in the evening. If you don't have an annual pass it will cost you $5 to ride the Wambaw OHV cycle trail. Hope some of you can make it.

God bless and best regards, Ken (Big Wrench) King 843-609-5390 text or VM

Wow MT! Had not heard about that until now. So sad, horrible accident. With the big shoot-out at Cycle Gear Saturday, this is not looking like a good week for motorcyclists.

Had to ride through some heavy rain in Moncks Corner to get to Wambaw but it was worth it. Only the north loop was left open and it was wet enough to be fun on the GRN KLR. Started at 7pm and ended (20 miles) at 8:30 (15mph avg). Some areas had water up to a foot deep but no mud since its all sand trails. If you go to ride it be aware there is a tree down at ~15.9 miles but it is easy to get around. I'd like to do an early morning ride (just a few hours) July 4, but not sure where yet. Any suggestions?

Tuesday evening ride. Leaving Goose Creek at 5:30 to ride up to Wambaw. Heading into the Wambaw north loop at 6:50, it's ~20 miles long and takes about 1.5 hours on the GRN KLR. If you have a heavy bike now's the time to ride this. The sand firms up when wet and the rangers often close the trails untill they dry out. There are a few water crossings about a foot deep but good solid bottom. One tree at ~15.9 is down but easy to get around. Hope to see some of you out riding.

At least a few 650's and assorted lighter bikes will be meeting at the Wambaw cycle trail trailhead at Round pond on Halfway Creek Rd in the Francis Marion Forest at 8AM Saturday morning to ride the north loop while it is wet enough (the sand firms up when wet). It takes me about 1.5 hours to ride the 20 mile loop. Another group is showing up around 9:30 and I plan on riding the loop a second time starting around 10AM. Bring $5 to feed the USFS trail box and join in the fun. I'm planning to ride some of the surrounding forest service roads after (around noon) so you could come up just for that if you wanted. Hope to see a bunch of you out on 2 wheels.

I am going to eavesdrop on this thread and try to hook up with some of you, if that is copacetic. I'm not new to riding dirt, just new to dirt in this area and have not been off road in years. Recently brought a BMW battleship and not too thrilled about how clean its stayed (mostly because of kids and work but also a slight intimidation of solo riding in unfamiliar areas) Hope to meet some of you soon. As stated before, if thatÂ’s okay. Thanks.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
