Are you looking for Wambaw? I'm sure I've got a few loops from there stored in the GPS.

I called the number earlier today - north loop is closed for grooming. South loop opened and has been groomed. (Pretty sure I didn't get that backwards) Hey, if anyone goes tomorrow, please let me know if the beginner loop is open. My boy is just getting started and we may try to get out there Sunday afternoon.

Beginner loop is open. They shut down a portion of the South loop yesterday while we were riding due to too much rain. The grooming leveled all the whoops but the trail is super soft and the berms are mostly removed.

This Sunday, many of us from the Charleston area will be racing in the season opening 1st round of 2015 AMA National Enduro Series. I'll be there on the GRN KLR starting in row 112 along with Eric (ummpwr), Blain, Robert, and Chad. Over 700 bikes are signed up. Come up and enjoy the action. If you've ever wondered what Live slow motion looks like, look for me near the end of the first test.

Sounds like the green KiLleR (and its rider) did an impressive job at the enduro!

Fun times at the last National Enduro!

If anyone is looking for some bike action this weekend

Im going to ride manchester state forest tomorrow around noonish and then go to the enduro (sandlapper) and camp out. I race on row 115 (around 10:50ish start for me)

If anyone wants to ride tomorrow come join or come check out the race sunday. It would be great to watch the race from a proper dual sport bike!

I was at Sandlaper, but not to race. Tested a few, and tradEd the 450 EXC for a Freeride. Hope to catch up in two weeks.

I'll be in Charleston this weekend. May trailer the KTM down. Anyone planning to ride? I've never ridden Wambaw so I may try that. Any other ideas? Anyone want to join me?

I stopped on the way back from the Sandblast Rally last Friday... we had so much rain Thursday that some stuff was closed. It's been dry since, but with some more rain coming the next couple days I'd expect parts to be closed still. I'm dying to get out too, but I have chores and projects pending (put the boat back together, put the bike back together, put the home office back together)...

The hotline says 'closed for maintenance and repair.' I'm hoping it'll be perfect on Sunday after a little rain. If it is still closed this weekend I may run up to Manchester.

Well that sucks...I may still trailer it down and just try to find some dirt roads on Saturday. I'll be leaving from Mt. P.

Wambaw riding hours are becoming pathetic. On the call b4 u haul earlier this week it said closed both loops bc of chance of rain later in the day:rofl

I called manchester state forest OHV and they are open 7 days a week , They said they DO NOT close bc of weather. They only close from sep to jan during the week for hunting.

I have heard the excuse of ruts, roots, and water being the cause of closing wambaw trail:huh WE HAVE DIRT BIKES PEOPLE!.... not goldwings.

Anyway anyone know what we can do to keep it open more?
