Tá fáilte romhat Kev! Well, we were on Svalbard, about 500 miles north of Nordkapp on mid summers day and temp was 20 degrees, Murmansk was also about 20 degrees whilst back home it a mere 17 or thereabouts. I think June July or August should be fine up there.

Northern Russia looks lush wish I could of ridden around there only got to ride around Izhevsk on a old Ural last summer.
In 2014, an informal meeting of fans of Russian north and motorcycles traditionally held on the first weekend of July in the same place.
I will inform you about the possible changes in Russia everything is possible :)

Across the main from from the old abandoned stuff there was some "newer" stuff, went up there but a military guy was out so turned around.

4, 5 and 6 July will be another informal camp motorcycle enthusiasts Russian north.
The camp will be on the shore of the White Sea near the village Varzuga.

There is a hard road from Umba (to Revda and Murmansk) for the group of motorcycles 650cc:
