Sad bunch. Broken bodies, broken bikes...I'm just plain old broke. Nappies and food on the table seem a little more important than gas in the tank at the moment. Sigh...oh well, carry on.

PS. heal up quick you guys.

what a crap run everyone seems to be having

Eddie - any idea whats causing the dizzyness?
perhaps we need another pizza night at your place so we can sit around and watch you fall over - be more fun than playing kick the cast...
alternatively everyones welcome to trek up the coast

Hi Stephen - I didnt realize your shoulder was that bad - has the break not healed properly?
the whole year not rriding seems a bit rugged...

My KLR is handlebarless - but its only lazyness stopping me putting all back together
I seem to have temporarily adandoned adv riding for fooling around on trail bikes so I almost don't belong here but screw you all I'll stay anyway so I can read all the airhead threads

sad sad sad. You guys had better harden up if you want to ride down here again. Or you could just sit at one of the many cafes here set up for North Islanders & watch the locals ride hard & crash harder.

You say that as if your neighbourhood needs more bent frames.

Cheers Mark - no my broken collar bone has not healed - combination of age and crucially not a good idea with hindsight to continue on and do the Dusty Butt and then ride home Fairlie to Picton probably didn't help - that and at least one further fall in the snow n mud on the Lammerlaws.

Gotta admit I've lost my ADV mojo for the mo - but I guess I'll get it back :)

Not really, they've run 36 blood tests now and I'm perfectly healthy, fortunately that didn't involve 36 needles.
It started out as fatigue/exhaustion like symptoms that moved on to dizzyness. The worst of the dizzyness is gone again though I'm still not good enough to be confident on a bike for more than 15k or so, and the fatigue is kicking back in. I suspect though the dizzyness actually just stopped me from doing enough for the fatigue to kick in.

The Dr is trying to get me onto the waiting list for a Neurologist.

I had been thinking its been a while between drinks. Anyone else keen in beers at my place sometime soon?

Actually i was gonna say his DR must be pretty clever if it can arrange a consultation with a neurologist. Hang on - you sure you're not having hallucinations as well - that could explain you talking to your DR about your problems:lol3

Wow, I looked that up on Wikipedia and there a lot of what I am experiencing in there. I'll bring it up with the Dr next time I'm talking. You KLR riders are just jealous your bikes aren't that smart.

MarkS, I'm guessing Tuesdays are still best for you?
