Bring my own beer, cook my own food.
What kind of vacation is this?
how are the fires going to affect things?
Mill creek fire Northeast to Hayden this is pretty well in control County Road 80 has limited traffic but there's ways to get around that but the fires all on private there's a couple down by Meeker and there's one way west of Craig on the Utah border
I'll get some updates from the forest service before we start next week
Man I am looking forward to this!
I haven't spent any time in Steamboat since my ski bumming days back in the 70s.
I am still getting my bike ready, but I don't know if my large gas tank will arrive in time. What are the longest length of the routes in miles?
If the tank doesn't arrive in time, I am only good for about 120 miles with the assistance of my RotoPax. Is that enough?
At the NMOHVA " 7 Trails of Gold" event, the exchange rate for gas on the trail was One Good Craft Beer per Gallon of Premium. Is that the anticipated rate of exchange?
Howdy Y'all... Been having some bears rambling through the 'hood on the West end of town, so try to secure food in a relatively secure location. I live about 1/2 mile from the KOA.
I will still be in town Thursday night, and back in town Monday afternoon if anyone is loitering around and needs anything...
I rented two of the cabins for my working staff. We are only going to need one of them.
Winner.....Winner......Chicken......Dinner.........For the soul that PM's me first to grab that cabin.
I think it has 4 single bunks in it, if my memory serves me right.
If we have rain like we did last year at West Fest......that cabin will be worth its weight in gold!!!!!!
PM me....if you want it.....and we will swap the registration out with the KOA.
Yep....you get the phenomenal opportunity to grill your meat....just the way you want.
And who knows......might be a keg or two mysteriously appears!!!!!!!
Rain? That's a 4 letter word right?

All packed and ready to go. Now all I have to do is get tires and wait until Thursday morning to hit the, traffic. Hopefully I can get out early enough to beat most of it. Then spend the rest of the weekend doing
So looking forward to getting out of town, seeing old friends, meeting some n00bs, and some mellow riding. Yep bringing the big bike
I will probably head up a day early and boondock somewhere. Still debating on the 650 or the 950.
Cabin is taken....
LaurieD and I will be on street bikes for WestFest. Please forgive us. I really do want to hit the trails again, but the trails keep hitting me back.
Success on finding some local DeNoobing treats!
I will be looking for some volunteers to help with set up and staffing the 'check-in' table, etc.....
No need to reply here and no PM necessary.....just come find me when you see the GraceADV Trailer arrive on Thursday afternoon.
Thanks in advance and I appreciate the help!!!!!!
Still not sure when I will be up, possibly Wed evening but more likely Thursday afternoon. Still not sure what bike/bikes I will be bringing. I have been slammed getting the house ready to become a rental, so I haven't touched the KTM since the NMOHVA event in Grants. I may end up putting the big GS in the hauler or it may be the KTM and the GS/hack??? Guess I will figure it all out Wed sometime....I will also have a guest along so the two up GS may be the way to go...or the hack for the guest and the dog...or just the bar
Already paid and signed up for Westfest, just curious about the mentioned seminar.
Howdy Y'all -- Work is getting in the way of all the fun....
It's looking as though I will not be able to leave the Brighton area until 3:00 or so ON FRIDAY! Is anyone heading up to West Fest on Friday afternoon who would like a riding partner? I would rather not go through Friday afternoon Denver rush hour by myself. Thanks!!!
Aw man! I would have so loved to ride up with you, but I'm going up Thursday late AM Can't wait to see you up there, though!
"DeNoobing" sounds like something you have done at a spa...
<------ Fortunately I'm not a noob, see it's says it right there on my avatar, I done been here a while.
If only it were that simple...
