Damn DD! Glad your OK. No doubt your off road skills helped you out!

We came through there on Sunday afternoon at the end of our ride to British Columbia. It's a little ironic, because when we were traveling through South Dakota we came around a curve approaching a slow moving truck. Just before I pulled out to pass I noticed a broken pallet in the left hand lane. I thought that would have been a disaster if I had pulled out earlier and squared up on it.

I've had the dirt bike skills save my ass a couple times on the street. You don't realize how valuable they are until something like that happens. Instinct takes over. Few years ago I came around a corner on Hwy 50 along the Arkansas river doing about 75 and there were cars stopped in both lanes taking pictures of a goat.!?!?!? I had to lock it up and went into the death wobble - let up just in time and grabbed the brakes for a second round of death wobble and actually had to put a foot down and kick it up as I was going down. Spotted a small opening on the right side of the first car and got it stopped even with the second. It was all dirt riding instinct, didn't have time to think.

Holy crap! I am glad you guys are ok. I don't know how you pulled it off but kudos for being uninjured and having the skill to ride it out. Phew...

This is what happens when you take a 1200 GS on single track. Did not work out for me this time but we gave it a try.

Choosing the wrong line on a steep rocky uphill on a big bike is hazardous to your well being.

The videos never......NEVER.....do any justice to the difficulty of the trail.

RGoree....you rode that GSA like a beast and tackled some very tough terrain.

It was my pleasure to ride with you guys that day.

Had a blast at West Fest this year! Thanks to everyone that had a part in putting it together and working the event. Specially Big John and Bernie! Had the pleasure of riding with Kevin and Jason from Loveland who led myself and several others around the area for a couple of days. I am including a link to some stills I took over the weekend. Hope to post some videos shortly.
