Well played my up north friend....

Checking the exif data from this pic of a palm tree outside my parents condo should prove proof enough....

That is....if photo bucket doesn't strip exif data.....

    Hey all,

I have been a member of MSTA for a little over a year now. Really great group of folks, and they sponsor some very interesting rides all over the United States. MSTA Michigan has the honor of being one of the largest chapters in MSTA.

MSTA is looking to expand its chapter to West Michigan and BMW of Grand Rapids is hosting a MSTA introduction event on Saturday May 11, 2013 at 8 AM.

    From the MSTA press release:
The first meeting of the West Michigan satellite will be held at 8:00 a.m. at BMW Motorcycles of Grand Rapids, 5995 S. Division, Grand Rapids, Michigan on Saturday, May 11. This meeting will provide the opportunity for motorcycle enthusiasts (all brands, models, genders, skill levels, etc. welcome) to learn more about the club, meet existing members and set a plan for the club on the west side of the State. New members can participate in all Michigan Squadron and national MSTA rides / events. More information can be found at the National MSTA web site at www.ridemsta.com and the State Squadron web site at http://www.mstamichigan.com/. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to rpeabody@sbcglobal.net. We want to get an idea of how many people to expect for this first meeting.

For more information about the MSTA or the upcoming introductory meeting, contact our Squadron Leader, Gregg Mitchell at mi_msta@earthlink.net, Ray Peabody at (810) 923-8738 or Blane Kamp at (616) 530-6900.

Please make sure you RSVP if you plan to attend, as I am told BMW of Grand Rapids will have coffee & refreshments. I plan to be there as well. Also, there are a number of ADV type dual sport/dirt oriented riders who belong to MSTA. We have a dirt spring ride coming up called the "Dirty Mitten" which is going to be based out of Ranch Rudolph (Traverse City) the first weekend in May. PM me if you would like more details/info.

    So Hey! fuck cages.
Seems people in Michigan don't know how to drive and like to cut me off and brake check me. That's the second time that shit has happened since i started riding the vespa. I don't know why a green scooter would piss people off so bad but they really don't like. EVEN more reason to ride in the rain and garbage weather. It's a big FUCK you to Harley riders and buick drivers.

    :1drinkI'm better now.

Hey man! I drive a Buick! In forty years of biking I've had very few issues with cars. I've only been hit one time and that was when another biker rammed me from behind......I know what you mean about Buick drivers though. When I go to Florida I tell the wife to keep an eye out for Buicks because the older folks are usually driving them and tend to drive a little loopy. Someday we will all get old and drive loopy too. I can guarantee ya that will happen.... if your lucky enough to get older, like Charley.:rofl

Ack535.... That BMW of GR thing is on Mothers Day weekend:eek1. That's dead for sure!

More on this Dirty Mitten thing for sure on this site though. What is the plan? Costs? Will it be snow or shine up there? Woods will still have snow ..... Group leaders or GPS tracks only? Do we have to get sport-bike religion to attend? Will the roads be solid WeeStrom type? (not likely there)or bring the KTMs?:D

And I just happen to already have a Land Yacht.....1977 Buick Electra 225 LTD....2dr, Landau top, sleeps three in the trunk, and a back seat built for conception.:evil:clap

SO when I do get old, like the old goat, I'm also set to drive like I'm the only one on the road......drive 20mph in a 55mph no pass zone, never use a blinker, doze off thru a couple of green lights........

Haha! I think its the small bike and speed thing. When i had the Wee strom it was no issue. My sister has buick and drives kind of loopy. I think it just comes with the territory. Hell i hope i get old and still ride! Don't want to be the old Harley dudes at work. I cant rag on them to much. One dude has 140k on his ultra. At 28..i have some years to go. :evil

500 more miles yesterday and the Ninja has been turned over to the boy.

I'm in a plane ready to leave for Cincinnati now, nervous for the first time in all those miles. I hate flying.
