Just got this 'Khrome KLR650'--does anybody have any suggestions about getting it here to Michigan from Kansas?
warm coat? :)
.....im sure theres a shipping company out there. otherwise....Id go to the Kansas section of ADVrider and put up a post.
looks real clean btw! mileage?
Put on a pair of red riding boats and click your heels twice.
Lol. Not good advice (except, technically Arctic's), but plenty fun.
Simba, I don't have any good advice on shipping other than a sincere offer to use my trailer if you need it.
I'm still gonna laugh at you though
EDIT: I'd even offer to pull it with my Jeep (less gas) if I hadn't seen that pair of Hummers in your garage!
actually.....whats with the chrome?
Here's the flea market ad:
Not even having ever met this guy I can tell you that there has NEVER been another KLR that's been pampered in this way. I mean I LOVED mine and treated it very well, but it's not a bike that anyone spends time polishing (to it's credit).
I have to assume the guy works in a chroming plant somewhere?
I also have to assume that Simba is getting a strange, although ridiculously well cared for bike.
The guy who sold me the 'chrome' KLR has a couple of other 'projects in his garage. He sent me some pics of an old wing that he is working on to cafe it. I can't post all the pics, but his work is phenomenal.
I am sure the 'Zombie' KLR650 Tengai is sold at close to asking price. So I was able to get the 'chrome' without too much guilt. But I will really miss the Tengai--I have made a lot of friends with that bike and have enjoyed some adventures.
below is the 'chrome' sellers Cafe Goldwing
Maybe he was an ex- pirate trying to find a place in the adv world? I personally would never intentionally add chrome to a bike, especially one that is meant to get dirty...
Is that your black Tengai on CL? You sorely tempted me with that one! It's beautiful and would get put to good use.
This KLR is bada$$. Reminds me of a tv show, pimp my KLR. Hope you have fun with it.
That KLR needs guards to protect the guards from getting scratched. Or duct tape? I would think chrome plating would add weight? Luckly it won't hurt the KLRs performance. I wonder if the Doo is chrome?
Pimp my doo?
Talking with Charlie T about pimping my 1981 Honda CM400E. And if it has a 'Doo', Charlie is gonna pimp it for me.
I like the bikes below:
love the look of that OD green Royal with blacked out exhaust. id ride that.
