Alright, I need some help. I'm at the end of my rope. Are there ANY, decently well paved curvy roads in the GR area that I am missing? Or within the area? My route of 2 on ramps and 2 off ramps is difficult when trying to time it with traffic and I am getting pissed.

    Other than the track.

Check out the Yankee Springs area and northern Kent county specifically around the little lakes up there.

Check out Fennessy St off of Wilson. then to Leonard out to Spring Lake. Careful on the stretch by Lake Michigan Dr by Grand Valley..getting complaints about bikes/speed.

You have to follow the rivers to find good riding and curves; the Grand, Thornapple, Rogue.....Explore, get lost, have fun. :D

Hey, that thing looks pretty good sitting out there, bets its looked in many years! It only took me three years of trying to unload that thing on you.

It was indeed a family affair. I went down by the barn with a lone stick and poked down thru 3 - 3 1/2 ft of snow to find it, then dug it out and took it to the shop. Heather ( the one you really need to thank) is the one who spent hours cleaning and polishing that thing to get it too look that good. Ted supplied most all the decals. Stephanie just kept watching, shaking her head.

Hope the NYPD mug suffices. Seems Ottawa County doesn't have an Emerald Society......maybe you should start one??

YOu know, that thing is water (beer) tight. YOU could just mount it up high, get a longer piece of tubing , fill it with a gallon or two of home brew, and just sip on the tubing as you worked.

I think we also told Pete it was a top case for his DR650. Can't remember who else we tried to pawn it off on. I do know its been to a few swap meets, but it always came back home with us. But no more, pure genius to turn it into a cooler and give it to Jeff for his 40th birthday.

I had planed to go to the great river road rally but it looks like 40 deg. and rain up that way. This looks like a good back up plan. Adventure ride on Saturday and Common Grounds on Sunday morning ending with a ride back up north. sounds pretty good. What say you?

Yup.....Leonard out the spring lake with Fennessey have been a staple for years....but as skill level increases, the curves aren't tight and eventually crazy speed is the only thing to make them fun. People on that road are getting aggravated by bikes....I will be avoiding that road at all costs this summer.

    Go to Google Maps.......

Find Alaska, Mi. (south of Cascade---fun way....take Beltline south to 84th street, then hop over to Alaska), yup follow Thornapple River road up to ADA (avoid rush hour....weekday morning?), then from Ada, take Honey Creek....that takes you to Cannonsburg. Take a right on Cannonsburg RD (5mile) a few short miles to Gavin Lake Road. that dead ends into 10 mile. take a left, go a couple miles to Ramsdell. Head south on Ramsdell......that forms a loop and takes you back towards GR down Honey Creek again. It's an amazing little loop. That loop, if done on a Monday evening takes you close to Pizzeria Grande.....they have one of the best sportbike bike nights around. People are there from 6 till dusk on Mondays.

There's also some great roads down towards Gun Lake. But it takes a skilled person to know what's paved and what's unpaved. But the roads are nice down there.

The other fun road once to get to Spring Lake......is Black Lake road....

Any sugestions for a MC shop to change tires on a sfv650 close to kalamazoo? I'd like to work with a place that will take an apointment so I can ride in and not have to leave the bike for a day or two. Price is always a factor but i'm willing to pay for good service.

If I do not end up working Pete and I may head up there Friday evening and do the ride Saturday. I picked up a new ride today. So now I have to decide which bike to ride.

2009. 1500 miles. Not a scratch or spec of dirt on it. Bunch of extras came with.

Hey guys. We are looking for some summer help at work, this is what we are looking for.

Willing to work all hours of the day and weekends with short notice (normally 48 hrs in advance but not always)
40 hrs per week NO O.T. 8 hour shifts for 4 months or so, June to Oct.
    Strong math skills (REQUIRED)
    I heard around $14 DOQ

I would classify this as a good College kid job, or recently graduated.
