I don't drink anymore. I wasn't good at it! Or at least knowing when to quit.
Tic Toc Klr is almost done...
Is that the "Tic Toc" of the KLR bomb I hear? Just waiting to see when it will explode next?
Even with the rain that was in the forecast, I was really hoping to get over that way today to:
Possibly grab the current tag
Hook up with Mike and get his BBQ sauce delivered
Visit (and eat) with Rella
Unfortunately(?), got a couple of notes last night that 2 bikes might be coming in to the shop today. As much as I would have liked to have gotten out, gotta make hay while the sun shines..... which it did today.... probably close to, or in the 80's.
No bikes - yet - but 2 tire changes, pressing in swing arm bearings on an F650, and 'cessing out the cylinder on a fella's XR650L in prep for honing and fitting new rings, welding and machining a rear turn signal bracket for a 1986 Suzuki GV1200. It's been a productive day, and time to get out of here.
Ya'll have a nice w/e.
Stone Wall Jackson Lake.
Not where I wanted to drop the new spot, but I was running out of daylight and too far from home. I was having way too much fun on the dirt roads between these two tag locations.
How many miles did you put down yesterday? Did you keep dry? I rode 320 miles, it wouldn't have been nearly that long but I skirted clear around the arse end a thunder storm to get home, but I barely got wet. I was pretty pleased to stay dry and I had some really great riding too. It was a good old fashioned adventure. I just picked random roads that went the way I wanted to go around the storm. Forgot my GPS at home! Alot of fun though! Glad to hear you were having a blast.
Ended up with just over 400 miles for the day. Probably over 100 were dirt. I hit very hard rain about a mile after I took the pic at the dam. Rode through it for about 15 minutes. Then hit an occasional sprinkle until early evening.
Enjoyed every second of it!!
Come on Guys!
It's been sitting for a month of good riding weather. I actually rode by it again last weekend just out for a spin. And I live 100 miles away. Thought about picking up my own tag just to keep it moving. Excellent roads all around.
School won't let me stop studying! As soon as I get a break in the exams I have plans to grab it if no one else moves it before then! It has sat for far to long.
I might try to buy a bike next year and get back in the saddle. I'll go and grab it then.
I'll loan you one if it keeps the tags moving.
I'm trying to stay out of the game and give someone else a chance but....
I'd tag team it with you Gabby, but then I'm not sure who'd get it if JamNut gets busy
I know I know!
More than a month of prime riding weather, and this is still standing?!
Finals week is my excuse Not sure bout the rest of WV
