The fact that I didn't see bare ground the entire time I was home didn't do much for my riding. :cry

My VStrom has been sitting in the shop the past 2 weeks - suddenly developed a really bad sputtering/missing.

That's a bummer! Sounds like it's turning into a BMW. I've never had problems with the alleged "surging" issues or other throttle-body related maladies associated with the boxer engine, but they sure are notorious for it. Hope they get you back on the road soon. I was thinking about riding today but it's way to cold for me thismorning. It will have to do alot of warming up before I hit the road. It's 18 deg out here at my house.

Leeson's called and the bike is done. It was a loose ignition coil. I had some other work done on the bike, and the cost was less than half what I was expecting. They are a good family and run a good honest business.

That's great man! You know it's an honest buisness when it's less than you expected to pay LOL. Glad they got it done. Once I had the same problem on by brothers buell....well similar. It was a loose coil wire. I tried everything before I realized what it was :rofl always best to start with the simple things!

OK, I couldn't stand seeing this one sit any longer. Slipped on the long-johns and sneaked out of work early today.

TAG: Long Reach Methodist Church - Rt 2, Ben's Run (about 6 miles north of St. Marys on the Ohio River)

Church has been closed for about 10-12 years, according to an old man I spoke with.

The Money Shot. I bet there were a lot of good old John Wesley hymns sung in this church!!

A look inside through a window.

NEW TAG: I wanted an easy to reach location with winter upon us. This bridge is located right across the road from a Dept of Highways facility and a State Police office, so I think the road will be plowed pretty well if it snows.

    Clue #1 on the bridge.

Big Clue #2 - Historical marker next to the bridge.

    Enjoy!

Thanks. First tag since August 2011 (this was Tag #26 for me). EDIT: OOPS!!! I FORGOT ABOUT GRABBING THE ITMANN COMPANY STORE TAG IN OCTOBER RIGHT AFTER I BOUGHT THE BIKE - OLD AGE! MAKE THIS TAG #27 Bike ran great. At first I thought it seemed a little sluggish until I pulled off Rt 50 west and found I had been heading into a 15-20mph headwind the whole time. Hard to tell with the leaves off the trees. Very smooth on the way home. Nice to be back in the saddle again.

If it wasn't so far away, and I'd had these on during our Black Ice Ride a couple of weeks ago, I might have gone for it. Just didn't have the time. :cry

Just up the road from you. Shouldn't be a problem.

If you can't make it to the Crab Cakes Ride, looking forward to seeing you at the Spring Fling (we're hitting both). I'm pumped! :lol3

    GRAB!

    NEW TAG
Kept the tag in the same county as the previous tag with same theme of covered bridges. This covered bridge is on the western end of the county off of US Route 50. Take the Marshville Road exit and stay on that road until you come to the bridge on your left(about 1 1/2 mile). This one is functional, but has very light traffic.
