Here's a trip I did Aug 13-14th that I finally got around to documenting.

I travelled to Mt. Airy MD via the Eastern Panhandle. Covers loads of mountains and history. Check it out:

I live pretty close to Mt Airy Maryland. But I don't think I would make that a destination for a ride. I would be heading out your way to WV.

There is a great road you missed near Berkley Springs. For those that read this and are in that area, you can pick up Detour Road (County route 18) just south of Great Cacapon on Rt 9. Detour road will take you back to Rt. 9 outside of Paw Paw, WV. In my opinion Detour road is the best set of twisties in Maryland!

Another great route in that area is outside of Hancock, MD. On the south side of Hancock just across the Potomac River Bridge on Rt. 522, pick up C. route 1 (River Road) heading east. If you have a GPS, you can take various roads winding along the river all the way to I-81. I discovered this route when found I-70 eastbound totally shut down. Very scenic.

Great write up. I loved your photos. Well all of them except for towards the end when you were looking like a beefcake. You really need to remove that one.

Beefcake? Tiger Gigolo? :ear Ugh, two comments was enough. I removed the offending pic.

But beefcake nothing. What about this guy, the CCS Chaplain from the CSBA (Christian Sportbike Association) website
