What year is your R1200? I'm considering a BMW adventure bike, or possibly a Triumph Tiger, as my next ride. That is still at least two years away, so I have some time to do more research, and get in a few more test rides.
Bought it new in 2015. Being that the GS and Adventure are the same bike I liked the looks of this one and with the ADV you are lugging around about 80+ lbs of gas. You have a good plan, just ride them and decide how you plan to use it.
New Tag. The Black Mountains overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Poached the HiLLBiLLy tag.
New tag and it is out of the way enough to make any HiLLBiLLy feel at home. Let me know if you need a clue or just read the sign on the store.
That is way back in Hillbilly country. Nice move
Gentlemen...if I may ask for your thoughts on a trip I'm making this weekend.
I'm renting a cabin near Bryson City this weekend and I'd like to haul my ktm and crf250 from Tenn to ride at Wayehutta ohv on Sat or Sun. The forecast has rain each day...which means mud. We're new dirt riders and I cant afford an injury.
Just wondering if the forecast in Wayehutta park area is like ours- they can predict rain almost every day during the heart of summer...and no rain.
Thanks for any help; heading that way Friday.
That's a neat place. You can imagine what it was like coming in there on a horse. That landmark church road was really neat and unexpected too.
It's very wet between there and here ☔️
You should have grabbed the NC tag at Pie On The Mountain in Lansing while you were in the neighborhood.
Guess I'll just have to ride back over there today...
J/K. My backside is burnt. That was my 200+ mile inaugural ride on the new-to-me-strom and while the seat / bum started out OK it didn't end OK.
Also I wouldn't have had anywhere good to put the tag since I don't know the area at all. I do have a couple file photos but they were on my old phone.
New Tag. The United States Post Office Banner Elk, NC.
