The previous bikes were brake fluid at one year then every two years.

Interestingly, they change brake fluid on the 6k service but not the 12k. What's that all about?

    Every 12 K instead of every 6K. What difference does it make if the every 12K is 6, 18, 30, ..., instead of 12, 24, 36, ...

On my whizzy braked GS I flushed both wheel and control circuits every 24K which was about every 2 years.

I would not be surprised once the details are available that there is a time component to the schedule specifically wrt brakes. It takes some people a year (or more) to put 6K on their bike.
