they think they will have control tomorrow but also understand that several hundred more acres will burn because of the high winds.

It seems to be the same area that burned last year at this time.

That map appears to be last years. I believe this started on the west side of 206 and moved east over 206 into last years burn.

    • fire jumped 206 and is heading west
    • 40% containment
    • 206 is closed in both directions

Thanks for the post. I actually thought it was on the east side of 206, well it turns out the majority of it is on the west side:

Aparantly the fire trucks are having a tough time getting back there. That area has some of the deepest sand around. I wonder how those firetrucks handle whoops!

Wow, that's right where we do the railbed route out West of 206! Part of the TransNJ route!

Has it been brought under control yet?

Deadguy, is it heading towards your development?

No not at all, Hammer country is much futher south. This is in SJER and Meteor's territory. Meteor's Dual-Sport passed through this area last year but I'm not sure about this year.

Only the hero section of the TNJT goes west of 206. The east part will be effected. Looks like you'll have to learn where your ridding in order to get around, DOC! :lol3

That's a great shot - it appears to be taken from Atsion rd, rt 206 intersection, near the dam, looking south towards the beach house ? :ear
