There can be only one. That one is it for me too. Yeow.
I have one of these on order. With ABS. April/May Delivery.
Going to add these to it.
Back on my VFR kick...
Been thinking about this one for a while... going to go ride one today...I may regret that
Seriously considering this Versys for 5 grand
On Ebay? That's to much. It will not sell. Plus they are adding a doc fee (50) and used bike prep (100).
$4K, Yes. $5150, no.
Are you BUYING it? If not, why not about what is or is not worth.
It is the BUY IT NOW price anyway.
And it is too NOT to.
Seriously though, I don't keep up with the Versys market, but that looks like a nice clean bike, with some upgrades... exhaust, sw motech luggage mounts, sw motech engine guard thingy, etc. IF you want all those things, and were to add them to a stock bike after purchase anyway, then I don't see how that price is out of line. It's not like we're talking huge money here. I learned a long time ago that you generally regret it when you let a few hundred one way or another stand between you and what your heart desires. I also learned a long time ago to not place value on what another's wants. It's his want, not mine. I spend my money my way, and you spend your money your way.
Besides, if I were local to the bike, and were in the market for a nice used Versys, I'd just motor on down to the dealer and see what sort of deal I could strike. If $4995 is their BIN price, then that's their "sticker price". Probably deal off of that a bit locally, just like most used bikes at a dealership. Prolly pick it up for $4500. Maybe less on a good day.
Damn! Almost makes me wish I was in TX!
Go offer him cash. He has had on the floor for awhile and I'm sure he would like to move it.
Still haunting me.
This would be the first Honda I would buy new.
I like it too. What is it? Looks like a modernized CB.
Honda CB1300 Bol D'Or
I sat on some bikes yesterday: Super Ten, Ural Hacks, Moto Guzzi Stelvio NTX and MG Griso. The Griso reminded me of my MegaMoto, but it was lower and a the seating position was a bit more "sporty". The Stelvio reminded me of a GS, but an inch lower. It was pretty comfortable and I loved the giant headers coming out of that engine. I didn't care much for the front end (headlight design). The S10 was ok, but i just couldn't connect with it. Lastly, the Ural. Wow! I never wanted a funkier machine in my life! Sitting on it was similar to sitting on an atv or lawn tractor. It just seemed so utilitarian. Simple, yet beautiful.
So my pick for today? The Ural. Tomorrow? Probably one of the two Italian beauties (well, maybe the Stelvio is a beast).
I checked the Ural sidehacks out pretty good last year. Just looked them over I mean. Didn't ride one though. I have no idea how I'd get along with one in the real world but I will admit, there was a certain appeal that I can't really explain. If money and garage space were no object...
