What bike do you want today?

Discussion in 'Road Warriors' started by fivehitsweak, Jun 3, 2010.

  1. I ride a V-Star 650 with a smallish front disk and rear drum brake. I think I'd be OK with the brakes :lol3

come on man, you should know that rotor/drum size isn't the final word in braking performance.

I've ridden a few v-star 650's (bike week demo rides, and my buddy also has one), and the brakes on that bike are just fine :D they weren't zx-14 brakes, but i had no worries about stopping quickly if i needed to.

brakes on the crossbones? oooohhhh shit. you better pray hard now, because you WILL hit the nun in the crosswalk.

    +1.

I like choices. I like "having" to decide what to ride.

249cc. It has fake "cylinder visual size enhancers", essentially cast aluminum covers on the cylinders to make 'me look bigger than they are. I didn't look it up -- I own a Kymco scooter, and read about it while researching that purchase.

That bike totally does nothing for me, nor do any cruisers.

A far better 250cc VTwin would be the Honda VTR250 naked that I posted to this thread a few pages back.

For my classic collection, I'd love to have one of these (CB160):

Which is the "baby" version of the CB77 (305cc) Superhawk, which I'd love to have too:

I spent the past weekend riding my bro-in-laws bike and now I gotta have one. It may be the ugliest Harley ever built but I'm no beauty myself, I think we'd make a lovely couple... :1drink

    i agree! fun looking machine!

what, your BMW payments got you down?
  14. Sorry - My V-Star is the only bike I've ever ridden on the street and I've only had other people's reports that the brakes aren't exactly the greatest to go by. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who doesn't think it's horrible :lol3

and today it's this. fuck off about mini apes, they're actually quite comfy for those of us who took our vitamins, didn't spend our entire childhoods eating junk food & glued to the TV, and grew tall :D
