    I resisted :becca :lol3

Neither in the place or timeframe to buy a motorcycle right now. But those are sexy bikes for sure...

Or something similar. Hear me out. For me there's two types of rides, rides for enjoyment on good roads, outside of rush hour traffic, and the other one is commuting A to B. Depending on your type of commute, that commute could be no fun at all on a motorcycle (crazy traffic, distracted drivers, smog, stop and go traffic, ...).

When I'm on a motorcycle, I prefer to have fun and have my survival depend on my own skill as much as possible. But there's a tipping point where riding a motorcycle is just not feasible anymore and no fun.... You can be as careful and focussed as you want, it will do you no favours when you get squished by a texting SUV driver from the sides or from behind while standing still waiting for the traffic light to turn green. (I've seen it happen).

But I still want the manoeuvrability and lane splitting afforded by a motorcycle, and that single track/two wheeled balancing sensation.

Also, we all know that all the gear sucks for commuting. I'm an ATGATT kinda rider, but it quickly gets tiresome if you need to pop out the office for whatever reason, or do some errands. You almost always need a bike with cases to stow you gear in (and change of clothes). I've done the going to work on a motorcycle before, but it gets old really fast. (change of footwear, jacket on, gloves on, helmet on, ... rinse and repeat, ...)

I guess the old bmw C1 came close to what I want. No gear, no helmet, and protected (for city rides at least) in case of a slide or accident.

In short: two wheeled narrow commuter (for obvious reasons) that does away with the need for gear and offers a little more safety :)

The idea has been around for a long time. Doesn't do anything for me, but everyone is different.

Actually, not the bike I want today, more it hit me today how much I want back the R75/6 that I sold a few years ago. It was a "survivor" non-running, project bike when I bought it and nursed it back to life. It had "character"!

That would be awesome. Also, wasnt the bike a little small for tall guys! Maybe low and a little cramped?

My bike is living outside all year long and I need to ride her a lot or she gets suicidal.

It's a perfect thing! That would happily replace my K1100LT with dignity.
