Went to my buddy’s to show him the new bike and he took a couple photos. PC:TMitchellPhoto
Knight design lowered pegs, OEM GPS bracket, Zumo 660 mount wired to ACC2, BMW Nav 6.
I added just a wee bit of heat wit a heat gun and they came off in one shot. No mess. I just cut a bit of the ones I took off to put that orange strip on top of the white.

Was looking at luggage for while and wanted to add a top case for now. I decided on SW Mototech Trax Adv line.
I added the Alum top rack and used their adapter plate--it easily comes off with 3 cam lock screws and leaves the nice alum rack to add other stuff if not using the top box. Install was easy and Im impressed with the quality. I added the inner liner and back rests too.
@RichBMW is this the info you was looking for?
Spot on, cheers mate
Any chance of a couple of pictures of the box from a distance please?
Got a pair of cheap Rottweiler/CRG Arrow mirror knockoffs from ebay for my 950 SE. I really like the Rottweiler/CRG mirrors on my 1290 SA, but didn't want to risk destroying a pair on my SE since they are quite expensive. I thought that one of the knockoffs could be a cheap and OK alternative, but the mirrors I got are just junk and not worth the few dollars I paid. They kind of look like the real thing, but it ends there. The finish is bad and the quick flip function is non-existent. Haven't really check the quality of the glass yet, but I am really disappointed
I’m about to order the new Trax Ion, so that’s sealed the deal for me.
I was excited as well, but the $ brought me pause. At least for a day or two. They are definitely very proud of the offering.
yep kinda pricey but super nice quality-- keep in mind a few things-- they make ION and the ADV series . Above is the ADV series.
the rest of the parts work with either box. But you need the Alum rack, the adapter plate, locks, I got the inner liner and back rests too. It all adds up.. Hey you only live once. And, if you like what you get--its worth it to you. That goes for ANY of the many farkles this crowd is installing on these bikes. I got heated ergo seats and wings shorty exhaust on the way. I think Ill be done for a while.
I agree, it just sort of surprised me when I added it up. I'll spend it at some point. But first I'll screw around with a wolfman rollie for a month or two, then try a pelican, then buy a used happy trail KLR box and rig up some home grown mount, but it will leak. So I'll go back to the rollie for a while, but it will get ripped off when I make a quick stop to buy a soda. Then, and only then, will I spend what I should have in the first place!
FWIW here's Givi's top box on an SW Motech Steel rack. Givi Trekker Outback boxes come with the locks included and you can easily (DIY) rekey them to use the KTM Ignition key. Obviously not important to the 1290S/R crew.
Once it warmed up above 34, I got out to use up some gas before getting ready to pull the tank.
Got the tank almost ready to pull in just a few minutes. Not as bad as I was expecting
Got my air blaster bead seater today. I wonder if I should break out the Ru-glyde and blaster and give the Tractionator tires another try? Glutton for punishment?
Go for it and please video the blaster action ...
