Best mod ever - makes a world of difference in the slow technical stuff. Oh, and makes traffic a breeze.

Replaced once again the balancer shaft seal and installed the oberon slave mounting 'thing' since the oem plastic one was warped (and the oem spare costs as much as the billet one :huh)

    Hope you don't mind I post a 1190 adv R, the thread dosn't specify the model.....:D

I toke away all the useless stuff:
    crash bars
    penniers attachments
    passenger handles
    rear rack

In addition I painted in black the side spoiler protectors from the std model and installed them.

with the addition of the akra I toke down the weight from 218 to 206 kg.

What bothers me about this mod is that you lose the magnetic collector that is at the part of the stock oil tank plug. I wish there was a way around this.

The windshield is made out of carbon fiber by an inmate that goes by the name of giancarlo. Great quality and quick delivery all the way from Europe.:deal:clap

Of course. That is in a very different place. Ktm engineers put two of them for a reason. Every time I taken them out they both need to be cleaned.

granted im only using 2 of them. i did the "hose" mod to make the oil changes easier. this was the primary motivator for the upgrade on the drain plugs.

    on another note,

what do you you think of this filter? please tell me im being paranoid and those waves are nothing to be concerned about.

2012 990R with 2,600 miles. oil changed at 500 and current.

other than that, did a quick test run of the camping gear. worked out well and hardly noticed the addition of the weight.

Go ride the bike for about an hour then just put the bike on the kickstand and pull the clutch cover. If you have a vanilla milkshake on the inside of the cover then you need to call CJ. You have to ride it for a while to get it hot enough to burn off all the condensation, think CJ said something to this effect and I've seen the same thing with my clear clutch cover.

My unused filter looks a bit wavey just like yours. The lines will never be perfectly straight. :)
