Today I finally fitted Petunia with a proper set of off-road shoes. She's now wearing a new pair of Continental TKC-80s, which I always found to be a great tire for the dirt, and amazingly good on asphalt as well.

I also fitted another RAM mount on the front of the crashbar, just next to the front wheel, for my VHoldr. I won't mount the camera there for gnarly dirt work as a tip over would trash the thing, but for less crash-prone stuff it should be allow for some cool perspective.

Put a new TKC 80 and UHD tube on the front. Used just the tools I carry on the bike. No problems. I will be mounting the rear today.

That's funny... it was my first thought, too. But if there's a nice stubby lever available, I'd prefer to do it that way. Local dealer was supposed to get one yesterday but I was out of town, so I'll call today.
If it doesn't work out, I'ma start cutting!

Mounted up a new Dunlop 606 front tire, installed new rear brake pads and found that my right side gobi pannier latch is broken.

Postman delivered a replacement HID bulb as the scrote who stole my bike smashed the other one.
So I fitted the old ballast and the nee HID to the new one :thumb

Well, the stubby lever is on back order and may be weeks or months away. I'm headed to the garage to adjust the master cylinder down a bit and redo the right side handguard installation (some bending of handguard) and chop off the clutch lever so I can put the left side handguard on correctly (more bending).
Then, of course, I'm going riding. :ricky

    Yesterday's project:

It was pretty easy with parts from my Yakima Cage-Rack, three wing nuts and the long Yakima track goes off/on. I even found a use for my old stock rack; It holds the front fork mount over my back seat and keeps the bike & more weight right behind me & makes it stick out the back a little less. That part uses two long Allen bolts. My wife won't trust enough to ride bitch anyway.

Today is make the SKI RACK day!! The roads are clear all the way (22 miles from my house) to the parking lot at Mt. Hood Meadows Ski Area, so why not RIDE?

Put on a 44 t supersprox with my existing 16t countershaft. 16/44 rocks, much nicer to drive, best mod so far. Front wheel lofts with roll on and then punch, throttle smoother. Bike now feels perfect in 6th at about 77 mph.Today I installed the euro headlight with Osram Rallye 65w low http://store.candlepower.com/h7bulbs.htmland and 55w nightbreaker high. So far I've done an oil change, installed new Renthals with Rox risers, installed FMF cans and then the above this weekend all with the help from this forum, hell I wouldn't have bought one of these without 6 mo. of lurking here first, I'm starting to feel like I'm losing my newbie status. Next comes my real step into manhood: Posting Photos........with an IMAC:1drink
