    -17 1290 SAR lurking in the background, new to me this weekend, the reason for selling Katie.

    I replaced the left front petcock a couple days ago. It was weeping just enough to have dust stick to it. The one I pulled out didn't have the screen on it like the new OEM one I installed. I thought that was a bit odd.

    I'm also going to be replacing the front brake line in the next few days. Is there any trick to bleeding these front brakes? 2008 990 Adv with ABS removed...I'm installing an OEM brake line from a 2012 Adv R.

    I didn't take a pic of the new one, but it looked like the one in this picture with the plastic tube with built in screen.

    Drained my tanks over the weekend and found a rattle in the bottom of the right tank. It was the missing screen. How it got from your tank to mine remains a mystery...

    @AliveDK

    Sooo...you mean the left side while seated on the bike and not the left side when standing in front of it, correct?

    This was actually last week that I did this...

    I made a bracket that uses the KTM side stand rubber (ktm has used the same rubber since about 1999). I had a race coming up and I didn’t want to have to deal with a kickstand flopping around. I made the bracket out of aluminum, and then welded a tab on the kickstand for the rubber to slip onto. I hope that works our for you, but I had the same rubber thingy on my FE390 and it broke within the first few hours of use. Your mileage may vary though.

    Left while seated on the bike.
    I just took them one by one, left then right. Worked fine both on my 2003 950 and 2010 990 R

    I think I got it of the workshop manual.

    Not really anything to the bike, I cleared some stuff in the shed so the 990 could slide a bit further out of the way.
    No worries though, I'll leave in a week for a little riding.
    For now the 990 serves as a bicycle rest before I head out for some exercise.

    Replaced the front brakes lines with a new OEM setup for a 2012 990 Adv R, replaced the rear pads with Galfer Carbon pads and bled the front and rear brakes.
