Welder is going to take a look at it tomorrow. In the meantime I pulled the trigger on the new one from the very kind Mr. Snell.

This is more about " What I Did For My Trials Bike Today".

I found a new rock garden hidden across the street from the house. Had to do a great amount of clearing just to see this much, but it will let me start Father's day with riding some new terran.

Yesterday we rode some desert stuff.

Today, we headed to the high ground to beat the heat.

I did a compression test. How much should a GG TXT Pro 250 make?

Wednesday evening ride at the Tryals Shop, with the usual crew. Traction was great and I was surprising myself at times with how well I rode! :wings
I got to hear how Team Montesa stopped in the day before, for some shop time and play riding on the way to RI. Then Geoff Aaron stopped by to ride too.... Busy place. Gee, I wonder why Team Montesa didn't stop at the local Honda shop to work on the bikes? :D

After riding the montesa 315r in my first few trials I've decided to make a few small mods. I stopped by v-mar today and purchased their shock linkage plates and a pair of 10mm bar risers. Initial feeling for the bar risers is that my back will thank me and hopefully help me relax a bit more while riding. The rear linkage plates have raised the back slightly. I'll have to ride it a bit before I pass judgement on this one but just hoping on the bike the rear doesn't sag nearly as far under my weight.

    Really enjoying riding trials!

    Picked up the new one!

The part I didn't expect was that when I took it for a shakedown spin in the parking lot everyone at the shop that could came out to watch... I felt like I was a bit of a side show doing a few full lock figure 8's and some simple front and rear wheel hops etc.

But now its home and I will be preparing it for its first real adventure into the world it was built for!

They were probably hoping for a back flip!

I bet they would have been impressed if I could have done a flip turn.

To bad I can't quite do one on my Montesa yet... I could have on my trials bicycle, but I didn't bring that and it isn't nearly as impressive.

Drove 400 miles round trip to look at an early 2000's trials bike.
The good part of it, was I rode a really nice wheelie across the parking lot with it.

We rode the wheels off today.

Here are two of the top coaches in the area trying to coax my wife up this giant ledge.

    Nope, not today!!

Garrett showing some nice form climbing up this rock with nowhere to go on top.

This was a great little slot we found that had a tricky exit on top.

    Practiced wheel hops.

Engine on and engine off once i got sick of the noise.

    It was frustrating.
