I hadn't even noticed that! Hannah rocked it for her first time out with the big boys & girls!!
Here she is, just the way she was as we loaded her into the truck. No pics at home, she is already tucked in for the winter.
Uh, my last name IS Porter!!
Yeah, but YOU were named after the BEER.
Hey, it could be worse: you could've been conceived after the beer.
What makes you think I wasn't?
I'm just too nice a guy to go there...
After all the snarking we did last weekend about the weather at SanYo, we decided to ride there today. Sunny skies, low to mid-40's temps, and........LOTS of snow left over from the storm that hit after we left on Sunday.
A shot from my bike leaving the parking lot -
That did not deter the hardcore ADV NMTA guys. Mainly 'cause we simply are not that smart. Case in point - Gordy riding over a solid ice patch, and lovin' every minute of it -
Nice, you clown!!
The snow was melted from the sandstone surfaces, but still clinging to the dirt. I took this shot to try to show the differences in the rock and the amount of snow in the background. Ansel Adams I'm not, but you get the idea.
While doing our stupid stunts in one of the "pools", lunch on the hoof came by to check out the buffoonery -
Mmmm, I'm thinking Black Angus for dinner tonight.....
Anyhoo, down to serious buffoonery.
And a ledge he did NOT want to do until he saw Gordy do it (well) -
Gordy and Big Al Terrault discuss how well 'Boss did that ledge -
An "art" shot of 'Boss holding pressure on a small obstacle -
Get that stance back just a taste, and you will look just like Nathan!!
Stevie "Wonder" Clark -
Big Al Terrault brought out his new (to him) Sherco -
And seemed to get used to it pretty quick. Never did get a good shot of Al in action today, so here's a goof shot of him and NMTB -
Did have a non-ADV (:huh) interloper join us for the silliness today from Oregon -
And he showed up in this total badass 4X4 diesel Ford camper van -
I could see the Abductor (Classic) getting that treatment!
Killer day. Damn good practice fellas! I loved it!!!
Fun one indeed!
Brewtus and Al.
Lots of dry rocks but you know you have to try it!
Brewtus showing the correct way to stuff the front into the under-cut!
Most of the rock areas were perfect!!!
It is hard to believe how comfortable it was yet there were icicles in the shade!
Great day guys!!
Man!! I miss riding there.
Going to have to make it down this year for a two day...
Sweet photos guys! Awesome day today for sure!!
WOW NMTA Hard Core adventures for the win!
Thanks for the pics. Nice looking bike Big Al.
Hek w/ them show offs from Oregoon, heh guys?
Not a dam thing...but, I'm getting closer...
What the heck? :huh
Old XRR get off from a year ago. Never healed right, I thought it was just a bad sprain...
Turns out it was broken. One plate and four screws later...
They also scoped out some bone fragments, those really hurt .
Dang. One of those old war injuries. Glad it's fixed proper so you can do stupid stuff again!
...one can only hope.
