Wow. That terrain looks like a ton of fun. It's very different than what we see here in the mid-atlantic area. I really need to get out that way to ride one of these days.

This is an area that we get to ride in because of a very unique arrangement made years ago (before my time) with the BLM. It is "Very Moab-Like" and the only motos that are allowed are club members with trials bikes and only with trials tires.

IMO, it is worth owning a trials bike just to be able to ride out there!:nod

    BTW, Come on out anytime!

It's great to hear about land arrangements like that. Trials is so low-impact that you probably leave no lasting impression.

I'm very tempted. I've ridden in northern CA but it wasn't too terribly different from home (just much better). I've long wanted to ride "Moab Like" stuff. More so since developing an interest in trials.

Don't tell anyone, but we can ride hundreds of miles of desert single track or technical high altitude forest stuff all starting within about 20 miles of this trials location.

    I like it here. :D

Went for a 2.5 hours ride on my loaner 321. I'm really impressed how easy this bike is to ride and more low end grunt that I thought possible from a 2t motor.

I mIght have added another steed to the stable, but as with all good deals I didn't get something for nothing. I have ordered most of the required parts but I keep finding more things that need attention. I will also need the get some stiffer springs made and figure out a way to raise the bars before I can really do too much riding.

Does anyone riding a Sherco get to practice sections the day before then?........................seems a bit unfair to me.

They are not riding in any set sections. You don't see any section ribbon, do you?

Not sure they would have wanted photos of riding the actual sections..............how did they get on in the actual event?

Sammy had set Pro lines just for them. Nathan rode with them, although Karl and Brian ride Pro in the NATC, and Nathan rides Expert. Nathan did a very good job of not getting totally whupped by two pros. Brian won, followed by Karl and Nathan. It was fantastic to have these guys come down and ride with us. :thumb

That last picture of Karl is an injustice. It was more than a 10 ft jump and that was a 12 ft hole. Wow the fat guy on a real montesa sure had fun.:clap
