I have an 09 Erzburg SE and mine did NOT have that front chain guide. I have since bought one and found that the noise coming from the rear of my bike is now much less.

Strange that there seems no patern to which bikes have this guide, and those that do not. I have seen another 09 SE Erzburg that had one, and it was purchased at the same dealer as mine?????? Weird.

Both versions in the same box in the factory probably. Not a big deal but I like the SE-version I have with the "little walls". Im on my 3rd now and I have never seen the ADV version without "walls".
