My post count just dissapeared too. It seems the only place I post around here is in the 690 Megathread.....

Maybe Walrus complained about the whining again and the mods just decided to remove all of it. :rofl

We recieved a reported post about some recent asshattery in that thread which was punted to Head Explody. It seems we missed a few posts.

So I moved 2 posts to "Crap from Thumpers" here:

    http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=722879

and then continued to look through the KTM threadfest in Thumpers after the 2 posts were moved.

Now, the Crap from Thumpers thread is still there, I can still see it in Head Explody but when you click on it it's empty. And the threadfest seems to have disappeared.. I'll keep looking.. Database wonkiness sometimes gives us trouble.. but this very strange..

    No shit!??:huh
My post count is down to 1 as well and only maybe 1/2 of my posts were in the mega thread.
From noob back to super noob.:cry

The last time I posted, it was in response to Grosbucks post about the 950 fuel pump that someone said was for a fuel injected bike and I said (not verbatim) "if you put ten inline, it might work", then added this:lol3

So, was that the asshattery in question? If so, I don't see why we can't have a laugh now and then. I've spoken with Gros Buck a few times and it wasn't meant as a dig but just a giggle. In reality, in my line of work, stacking pumps, does increase their ability to pump, so truthful in a mechanical sense.

Are things getting that rigid in here? Since the thread is gone, maybe a little heads up would be in order, so we can all learn the lesson, especially since the knowledge base has vaporized.

No, it was posted by the walrus using F bombs and other expletives directed at other inmates.
After his post and someone who subsequently quoted it were punted, the thread was there.. I spent a further 20 odd minutes going back through it.. :scratch

If the master delete key was accidentally activated, there must be an archive from which to resurrect the beast. That thread, as bloated as it may be, is by far the most comprehensive 690 source anywhere on the Internet.

    We need it back...

LOL, funny you should mention that. The guy who dropped the F Bomb didn't even get punted. Awesome moderating there. :twitch

    Absolutely!
It was a convoluted wealth of information.... but a wealth that was unsurpassed.:deal

Let's get this thread back on track and get back to the repertoire all but a few couldn't get their heads around.

...and just ignore the detractors that aren't happy anywhere.

It's a conspiracy... perhaps KTM paid a large sum of money to have the mega thread (and all the known 690 problems) silenced in an effort to increase sales of the 690 :rofl

Kinda odd that my post count went to 0 even though I have several hundred posts in threads other than the mega thread:huh

Wow, I never considered the conspiracy theory. :deal :lol3
Makes some sense but I would have figured they'd have rectified the issues discussed rather than have us censored. It's a much better business practice to rectify a customers problem and retain and reinforce their loyalty rather than find new customers. Biz101

I got a court order to remove the megathread to which I could only respond I don't have any control over it. I deleted certain personal posts and told the court the rest was out of my hands. I can't believe it would be possible but you got me wondering if that court deciscion had any weight or authority?
