Installed new spark plugs, and a new air filter in my 2015 1200GSAW. The filter was extra dirty, really suprized me, as I didn't think I was on a lot of dusty trips.

Record warm day here for February, 90f. Got a little windy by the time I got my chores done. Rode about 50 miles of sandy, rocky roads and worked up a little sweat. Ahh, felt good .

Fitted a new Bridgestone BT-501 front tyre ( well I was going to fit it myself until the shop said they do it free) . Replaces a Bridgestone Battlax which I found to be excellent and lasted over 15,000 road k's.
Just back from a 100k scrubbing in run riding like a "nana" through one of my favorite twisties and it rained lightly which had the sphincter muscle working over-time

You must really get great mileage if you scrub your tires in for 100k. :deal

Rode a few miles of sand, around 50 or so. Had been having to add air to rear every few weeks. Time to try the Safety Seal plugs. Located the tiny hole, reamed, and plugged. Safety Seal advertises that their strings vulcanize. Air up to 46lbs. Soaped it, no leaks. Trimmed off excess. Checked it a few hours later, still no leaks

22K, getting ready to do a "facelift" ... Taking off the ADV Tank and Beak and putting on a bare metal (sanded and clear-coated) tank with a Unit Garage front headlight, oil cooler relocation and high fender.

IMG_3555.JPG Added a clear headlight protector. This one was eBay out of Russia. Quality is very good. Less expensive than some website vendors, more than the Chinese stuff. I lie the long plastic that also covers the cooler.

Put a rear brake reservoir on as well but I'll skip that pic.

IMG_2259.JPG An unseasonal 87degrees in Feb when it's usually ice and freezing. I'd have been riding but still a month & 1/2 away- DR orders after back surgery. Boredom- so I added some handles to the back of my alloy bags. IMG_2250.JPG

Won a set of nearly new Hepco and Becker pannier frames on the well known auction site for 30% of the new price. A monstrous saving and I am jolly well chuffed. My next mission is to find some appropriate panniers to complete the set up. Hepco and Becker Xplorer are top of the list but I hope not to have to pay full ticket price. Fitting out my 2006 is coming on nicely thanks to second hand land!

Oil change, and used a paint pen to label the pockets on my tool roll so I don't have to dump everything out to find the 12mm socket or the T-27 Torx. (That'll help exactly one time, since I'll probably put them back in the wrong pocket, but at least it felt like a positive step today.)

I think I would like to see some holes so air can actually get to the oil cooler.
