Did you simply install a new BMW OEM filter or did you go with an aftermarket? There was a thread going on about the pros\cons of the OEM filter, K&N and Uni.

Seems like there's a pretty decent gap all around but I'll be watching engine temp as the weather warms and add holes if necessary.

Would love to see a photo of the Puig. I assume you installed the one which is taller than the OEM windshield - http://bit.ly/2kpoX6k

Looks great! But.. the cooler probably needs airflow to stay 'cool' ?

Since my wife isn't here to verify, I might be wrong about this but I believe that's the vent for the LED headlight control unit. There's a fan on it that keeps the heat down inside the LED headlight housing. Since BMW's auxiliary headlight guard covers darn near the whole headlight, my guess is you're probably okay.

I'll try to get one soon.
There are a few windscreen threads that show the same screen, search Puig.
Mine is light tint on my white 14 GSA.
It is a couple inches taller than stock GSA screen.

For sport touring and max wind deflecting my favorites are the Aeroflow Corp or the Wunderlich windshields.

I can't find your wife either, so I'm going to verify that's the cooling unit for the LED headlight. Being water cooled the Warheads don't have an external oil cooler

I'm pretty sure that's what it is as well. On mine, I can sometimes hear the fan, it's a high-pitched whine. Let us know what you find.

Completely irrelevant, I taught myself a lesson just now: Don't use the touchscreen on your smartphone if you have just used 'gel' type crazy glue and it somehow ended up on your fingertips. Now trying to figure out how to take a selfie of finger glued to phone...

That's sounds like something I'd do. At least, now, if you see my wife, you can't call me.:D

I installed one from Amazon, I believe made by Mann. When I got the old one out, I compared it to the new one. They were identical , same color, number of pleats, looked like the OEM maker to me.

I could be wrong, and my wife will likely tell me I am, but I think that high-pitched whine you're hearing is someone's wife complaining about their husband making too many new and expensive entries in the, "What have you done to your GS/GSA today? thread/"
