Ok, got the text, "the rig is ready" Got my riding buddy Don to give me a life over to Kamloops where Brock's shop is. After hanging out a bit while he tied up a couple of loose ends we test rode for the first time. Brock driving, me in the car as Monkey! Guess you have to do it at least once. So after several laps by both of us, Brock declares "it's go to go", I say "it rides just awesome" He says, "It should the Math is correct"
So with Don following in the truck we head for home on a cold and sloppy November Sunday, did I mention it snowed 4 inches that morning image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

image.jpg The winch is more for the wow factor, plug and play both front and rear, controlled from the up and down switch for the lean out adjuster. Ural swing arm re-done with bearings and a BMW hub and brake set up. Rides like a dream. Or should I say like a rig. Still a few things to do yet, custom tool box and top box. Re-spring the bike, time will tell but I think it is a bit soft. Ideas? Plus get the car painted to match, and of course tires
Any how, I think I might go ride it today image.jpg

That is a sweet looking rig! Nicely done.

Are you saying the winch can go on either end?

Finally got some time to get out for a ride. A tad chilli but so nice to get out. Took the sand bags out of the car so I can get use to the car wanting to leave the ground :-) still deciding on paint or not. Can't wait to take her to the ski hill!!! image.jpg image.jpg

On some rigs, this rocker for the cars suspension , bothers me. Some builders just cut them from flat plate and though I haven't heard of failures ,it seems a little less than overbuilt.
Now this is a rocker ! Brock 's builds lead the way in over- built supremacy.
Hmmm , maybe the pivot could be in double shear ...

We talked about this, the pivot is well braced. Plus the bearing are standard items so easy to replace if there happens to be a failure. Same with the swing arm. The adjustment could be a bit finer but really just takes getting use to.

Might I suggest a black racing stripe front to back across the top!? I'll see if I can find a good pic of what I did on mine. Edit - here, found a pic, my weak attempt at a colour matched stripe. I painted that.

I need to get the BMW badges, will really confuse the masses. Undecided on the stripe, going to have some more black accessories, lights etc., so might be enough to tone down all the silver.

Maybe run the stripe at an angle. Like the factory BMW race Cars had.
