Some pretty spread out tents. Must be some snorers in there somewhere.
snoring and chili beef mac freeze dried internal combustion in a bag dinners
It was cold there (2nd day spot) over night partially freezing my water. Had every spare garment on in the 20deg bag that night. It had snowed enough on the mt. next to us that we decided not to ride up there in the AM.
Better late than never!
Good RR - Keep it up

Scott -Looks like you just copy the link from 'embed' in Utube.
This report is so entertaining. I'm sure enjoying the heck out of it. The pics are awesome and the videos are fun with the commentary, almost like being there. Thanking cattle for getting out of the way.....Priceless (That's something I would do ). I like the positive interaction with the ATVers. Extra points for ending the video with the pretty pink cactus flower.
It looks like Scott missed posting up the 3rd of his videos in here. It takes us from the crossing at Robinson Hole to the top of Pike Mountain in Idaho. Have a look. It is another good one.

The 4th one (he just posted it a couple posts prior to this one) takes us from just below Pike Mt on some ATV trails thru Oakley to High Camp where we spent our 2nd night. He starts it out with some nice video of me falling over. Thanks Scott!

Did you see all the flowers? I was thinking you would enjoy this report because of all the flowers. I took that picture of the cactus at the Utah / Idaho / Nevada border just for you. Don't worry, there will be more flower pics...
Really fun read guys,
And Scotts video's are just over the top awesome.
I think his nickname should be "Mr. Happy"
Man O Man I really enjoyed my first ADV ride. Very glad you like the Vids. I get to watch them so many times while editing. then I still watch them after posting. Good stuff. Definitely will do it again.
MaterMarine, you are the Master. Thanks for all your planning effort. And NO FIRES
We could tell
+1. I gotta say I am enjoying the videos. I hate watching ride report videos. If they are more than 2 or 3 minutes long I don't even bother. I don't have the patience. But these videos are great! Good job! You can definitely tell you are enjoying the ride.
pic up at the lookout above the ski rope tow, this is a formal atv arae with mapped and signed trails. We diid a nice pass through using some of the more moderate atv trails. loaded up bike and all. It'd been fun to camp there, throw the gear off and hit some single track. Scott reads the sign, I'm lazy, tend to just take pics of signs and read them later. This is also the area where we had discussed meeting up with some friends (Lan and Syl) in their motor home.
You can see one of the quads coming up the trail on the ridge, they were nice enough to let us come up 1st and friendly to talk to at the top.
When we left we dropped off to the left at the curve of the trail (where the road hits it) into some more technical stuff that was super fun for several miles. Only mention the location in case your ever there, trail would ez to miss.
another sign pic..sorry
the trail mentioned above drops us out through this valley and follows the drain down as far as you can see. We Eventually will be in those far mt's you can see in the top right in the haze.
ahh, back to good road again, the yin and the yang of rocks and flowers keep everything balanced out (unless you watching flowers when you should watching the rocks)
