Ran across this motorcycle graveyard on my way to visit Zane Grey's museum in Rye, AZ. Saw others pics on the web which show more detail.

Yeah this is a cool junkyard.
East side of Hwy 87 just south of Payson Arizona.
I hear from friends who live in Payson that the owner knows exactly where everything is in this huge pile of bike, scoots and ATV's.

I think there was a write up on that place and its owner Ron Adler in the December 2010 issue of Motor Cyclist.

What a cool looking place. A place to get parts like that near me would just get me into trouble. Ben

The prices that he likes to charge are way hi. You would definitly get in trouble.
I live in Payson just above rye. He does have some really interesting motorized vehicles. It's not just mc's. he has cars, snowmobiles, almost every kind of bike made through out the world. Alot of junk but it's fun to walk through there and look at what he has.
He has a 49 ford cabover truck that I would like to get from him to restore but he thinks it's brand new pricing at 2010 prices. He ships all over the world. He's a character also.

your words are too kind ... i would have gone with fucktard asshole . i tried to deal with him several times but dude doesnt sell anything , just quotes prices that no one in there right mind would pay. for years there has been rumors that the place is a drug front, i dont know that to be true but i wouldnt be surprised. i also read a story on another forum in which this "character" sexually harassed some woman who was left alone with him while her husband was looking at bikes. ive been driving by this place since i can remember ,always thought it looked like a really neat place .... turned out to be more like" the hills have eyes " with motorcycles and other assorted crap. in short i think te guy and his place are a bad waste of time or effort. just my humble opinion... cheers weas:D

Great spot to visit, it's worth the trip just to see the stuff. Rokons to Studebakers. Just don't go there expecting to get a deal on a used part.

This guy is a character for sure. I tried to deal with him on that panel van stacked up on the south end of the lot about 10yrs ago. He wouldn't budge, it's still there! Doubt if he could get it out if he did manage to sell it.

Forget buying anything unless your are really desperate for an obsolete part, but it is fun to look around for all the old skeletons of bikes you once owned.
