Rode, rode, rode. Rode past work. Rode during lunch. Even enjoyed the slow, trafficky ride home - it is SO good to be back on the bike.

Filled up coolant, changed the oil, and found out that I, in fact, CAN balance all my O'Reilly spoils on the tank (after rushing out of the house without a backpack). One of these days I'll get smart enough to put some bags on the bike.

Rebuilt clutch hydraulic system. Oring in the slave was bad and locking up. Replaced with 49cent oring from ACE while waiting on REAL parts to come. Clutch felt so good I thought it was still broke and keep bleeding. Tested it and WOW. Another one of those "I shuda done this sooner" thingys.

On other news the DR promised to Jeepgeek at the Trot is running great. New petcock and meticulous carb cleaning and she good to go. Next is fork seal replacement.

Fifty some miles of forest roads today. It was a beautiful morning to go for a ride!

Finally ordered a tank bag! ...And immediately thought of Beefcake trying to get a weekend's worth of stuff and tools into this tiny space.

Are they water resistant? I'm having anxiety thinking of riding without my faithful Billabong backpack.

1 is the other is not. I bring both and let you decide. You can always just put your items in a plastic bag and then put them in either backpack

    Jeebus, WTF?

You're not supposed to remove the cylinder head to change the oil!

And they say KTMs are maintenance intensive. :scratch
