I think you are a little bias on them video numbers. All those are action video`s which I enjoy also. Bet you can`t find one that has a rider stopped more than 10 seconds!:D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4qzh6YBW1Q Here is your #1 video and it was rode using no stop. The only time he stopped was rolling back and that is a five in stop and hop. If you want to argue rules and the benefits of either you should learn them first!:1drinkIt would have been boring if it showed every time he stopped and looked at his next approach.:ear You might try attending a world round. Tip # 1, Jarvis has.:huh

And that's why no-stop sucks. As a judge, you completely missed a stop. :lol3

Was there an observed trials in that vid or are we calling extreme enduro no-stop now? :scratch. I guess I'm missing the point.

He said the #1 video was stop and hop. I saw him hesitate and that was a five,( which you can hesitate) but very close which if Graham was riding a scored event he would just jump off. The thing is all the videos he called the top ten exciting were all done NO STOP. Pretty boring NOT!

You should try watching SX. The only tine that they stop is when they crash. It's really exciting and they are getting 50,000 spectators at the events! :nod

Interesting how no-stop = pause allowed isn't it...

But then again I still am trying to figure out how an enduro = a trials and as such stop/no-stop applies... :rofl

No I am not picking sides, just saying that this video isn't applicable to the conversation on ether side... Just my to cents.

He reversed once and stopped once. Again the whole misconception is not knowing the rules as a whole. Now if you came out to the vintage next weekend you will see a pause is allowed. It really is very simple. But it is ITSA rules not world round rules.:clap

You want to blow your mind. In the world rounds you can drag your foot from the start gate to the end gate and it is a one. Too bad with all the obstacles you cannot get away with it!:huh

Depends on whose rules. The world round it is more dynamic motion. Yes the spokes can stop, but the suspension has to be in motion. ( Or perceived as the body is still in a moving motion) In vintage it is supposed to be the hesitation between obstacles without gaining advantage of moving (Like hopping) unless hopping in a forward motion. It really is not that hard to score either.:1drink

:poser. Stop is OK as long as the suspension is in motion!:poser

Now...that's a good one to call consistently!

In vintage, you can hesitate all day long but not hop sideways???? This just keeps getting better! :rofl.

HHmmn, all the while balancing the bike. In stop and hop you pull up to an obstacle put you foot down, take a seat and ask others for advice. Really, which one looks like you are NOT riding.
By the way if you just have to ride no-stop to understand it there is a place for that. It`s called ARHMA, but they think trials stopped in 1979.

That is a perfect map for showing the percentage of trials riders to main stream motorcyclists. Take the Island of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean. That would symbolize the small group of trials enthusiasts compared to all other riders in the world. Now what percentage of riders have ridden trials in almost all forms of the rules, liking it or not!
Now how many trials riders have been to the island ,also known for the last nesting place of the Dodo bird. Probably less than 1 % of trials riders. Amazingly I fit into that small percentage on both counts! :lol3
