    How about some other tire blackening agent, such as motor oil, KY jelly, petroleum jelly, or banana peels?

    I prefer my tires to be blue, gray, or brown. That happens when RIDING in sand, hard pack, and MUD...:D

    If you do use banana peels - make sure they're the old, over-ripe type. I used fresh skins on my bike once and the tires were yellow for about a month. :deal
