Awesome video RD! That fall at around 5:00 looked pretty nasty. I would have had a panic attack at some of those step ups.
Yep - I won't ever have to worry about that.
I think that is the first video I have ever seen that really gives you a feeling of the elevation. YEP, I won't have to worry about that either Tslaw!
That is a wide lens contour camera mounted under the visor.
I have a couple contour 1080P helmet cams I could part with if anyone is interested.
Spare batteries too.
I'm interested in batteries for my Contour HD!!!!

Awesome! Was some of that footage from Top of the World?
Same here. Some of them looked hard to walk/climb up. That was a group of good riders there.
The LaSal Pass is about 10,800 ft I think. That is where we found snow. It's hard to tell on the video but we were going up hill in the snow and ice and barely had enough traction to make it.
I gotcha, that looks fun! Where was the section with the big steps? There is a trail to a place called Top of the World that looks an awful lot like it.
Most of those step ups were on poison spider trail
Note to self: Don't let anybody talk me in to riding poison spider trail.
Have there been some disappearing posts in here?
Roger that. That was a great video!
Did Anti say something?
Great Vid for sure. Thanks for confirming that I have no business riding there!
I was wondering the same thing...Wolfy posted his ride & now gone? Cause I was gonna quote him & say that the new Research Park road he thought he saw is really just clearing for TVA right-of-way for new big power distribution line that will be going in.
I think I actually posted mine in the North MS thread. I wondered which it might be, but I had heard they were starting the new road into the research park, so I wasn't really sure which it was.
There are back roads all over Moab. I would like to spend a week on the KLR out there. I just wouldn't ride anything we road. Onion creek would be great on a KLR, I rode it a couple years ago.
got 8 whole days planned there next year.
Yes, Onion Creek is a good road for a bigger bike. I was on a 990 when I road it.
