With you all banged up, I bet you can still run circles around me on rides. Or hopefully, now, maybe I can keep up with you. Ok, all jokes aside, hope you get better soon man.:deal

It's a riding club. If I ever get a real dirt bike, I'm thinking of joining (when I get a job and can afford a KTM and membership!) :D

I think XR can handle the trails, how much is a membership?

    AS INFO:

The XR can do just fine. I recommend anyone who is just getting into or back into trail riding to get a CRF 223 in good shape for about $1,800. Ride it for a while.
When you want to upgrade you can get most if not all of your money back.
In the mean time ride other bikes and decide which bike is right for you.

We have about 55 families in the group, there is someone in the group that has the your same skill level.

The hardest part for some guys is the ego/ image of riding a CRF 230. No one riding here is Ryan Villopoto. The CRF230 is a excellent trail bike that you can push hard enough to go past its limits. Perfect for developing new skills until you can ride better than the bike. I have seen a bunch of guys join, go buy too much bike, a race bike like (YZ450, CR250, KTM 200XC or SX, Ect...) and have problems riding trails, problems with cardio, roots, creeks, hills, logs, turns, and trees. :muutt:baldyThey get discouraged and do something else.:flush

We are having a bunch of fun on trails. Y'all are missing out.:freaky:dllama

I had a "borrowed" CRF230 at the dFR and let Babarnette run around on it. If it was mine full time, I'd put some taller bars on it and join The Bluffs! But I have to find a bike I can keep full time before I shell out the joining fee! One day!!! :D

That little bike was a blast to ride on the single track, I think I'd need something a little bigger for a full time off-road toy though.

If it was fully mine, I'd make a few changes. It needs a little more umph to get someone with my weight and size up and down hills... :D

I know people get more out of it with a few tweeks. Also would add better pegs, higher bars, etc. It's hard for me to stand on it with the stock bars.

But you are right, it is a blast for a play bike!! :clap

Unless thing have changed, good trails, lots of sand, a big pit to play in.

road there a lot between 2000 and 05 the trails are not for beginners they have everything from hard pack red clay that get slick as hell when wet to deep loose sand woops and even some nice gray hill clay, BIG hills and fast switch backs. Use to be a 12 mile loop that you could cut short in a few places.

This entire trail is on a hill side, you are either going up or down hill, no flat spots. I knew Jody was ahead of me and I charged hard to catch up to him.
:freaky More fun than a bunch of old guys should be having.:rofl
