Yes the HT is a good ride indeed.
With the Safari Tank on the Slab @ 100-110kph you'll get about 320 - 340 kms
On the Track, that same tank will get you from Hyden to Coolgardie with still 1 litre left in the tank. Cant remember how far it is.....

I also carry an extra 7 litres in 2 x separate containers.

Some ones got a good sig line out here which resonates with me, something like; You can never have too much fuel, unless you're on fire :1drink

Great trip - we spent time on a property at Salmon Gums when backpacking in the early 1980's - some of that country looked familiar. Always good to see what the WWR is capable of.

    Cheers

That sounds like a awesome ride and if you ever do it and want some company count me in! The Carpathians are where the Romaniacs ride through ( next weekend in fact).
great ride report fellas' the little WR 250Rs are sure great bikes, I love mine but have it for sale now that I have bought a 990, but when it sells I may regret it, it sure is a lot easier to ride in sand than the big beast! Some fantastic photos as well, the colors of the Goldfields trees are just wicked eh! Cheers for sharing :freaky

    Yo Rhino,
Just a bit caught up clearing debris......
Anyways thanks for the comments on this and the Lake Ballard run. Gwalia Mine? Sounds good! - maybe next time eh?
I reckon a run thru there then up to the new SKA Astronomy dishes out at Boolardy Station would be pretty cool. Maybe next year.
