I have a XD3 in a matte silver color and want to touch up some nicks.
Arai does not sell the paint, but can i match elsewhere?
Most silvers are gloss, but this helmet is light silver matte.
Any way to match this or has anyone found a match?
    thnx, bill

I don't know, but seeing as no else apparently does either:D here's what I would do.
Large NAPA stores have paint supplies and color match abilities. I'd ask there. There are additives that can "flatten" paint gloss, although I'd imagine it would take quite a bit of experimentation to get the correct matte finish.
Also, I've heard that silver is a difficult color to match.
How do you feel about stickers?:D

I used a crayon to colour match a helmet once. It actually worked extremely well...

Step 1. Throw it down on the ground a couple times and maybe kick it a while you're at it.

Step 2. Put it back on and go riding.

    Git 'er done.

this . . . . exactly matching the color and sheen (or lack thereof) is something I've never been able to pull off . . . . no matter how much I spent on non-custom-mixed paint.

Bring it into a model shop and see what you can find.
My car has 35 year old faded-to-matte silver paint and I found something to match it.
