I have a vacation coming up, and no idea where to go. Two weeks, two to three thousand dollar budget (not including airfare). I will most likely be traveling solo. The entire globe is up for grabs.
I don't really care for touristy areas, although I am very fond of beautiful women (which seem to go hand in hand). I have had the best times, in places left for dead by tourism. I don't know if I want to moto-tour or not; just because I would have a hard time dropping 3K on a bike rental when I have a perfectly good bike at home.
If the place is really cool, I will stay.

Any suggestions?

Fly to Rome and see if the Pope is up for an espresso.
Ride to Pahrump and eat chicken.

Why not see North Americ on your m/c? I am sure you have not seen everything in the USA or Canada.

With your $3000 you could use the Motorcycle Travel Network and stay 200 nights in the homes of other MTN hosts. MTN is located in 46 states and Canada.

You would be meeting other motorcyclists that could tell you what in their area is worth seeing what roads to ride on your motorcycle.

Great ideas guys! I really apreciate the input

I typed “Pahrump chicken” into Google. First results were for a different kind of chicken ranch than I was expecting!
Rome, been there, done that, wrote the book.
I have not hear of the MTN before. Looks really cool. Reminds me of the Couch Surfing Project. I will definitely MC tour North America at some point.
I neglected to mention my birthday present, airline ticket to anywhere. So I feel compelled to use it.
Keep the ideas coming!

Tony, why don't you take this to Vendor Forum?

Jake:

We met - for a minute at the Rohnert Park Starfuck's when you went on a ride a couple weeks ago. I'm the guy that took pix, but didn't ride with ya'll.

Anywhere in the world? Go exotic - since you've got the ticket. Argentina's got some beautiful sights - and it's late winter/early spring so you might find a nice beach with some TB-like visitors. And Don Alejo can probably guide you to some great spots. :deal

Or else you could try and hook up with beemer boy in China - buy a bike for 10 days and sell it when you leave. They're only $600.00 for a two-fiddy. :evil

Then, there's always Finland, Norway or any of those northern countries where the women are beautiful and the moral code is the exact opposite of our uptight American ways. :shog :deal :lol3

Good luck - and do a ride report - or at least do a thread in Jo Momma.

If'n I had a ticket, plus three large and two weeks.....I'd fly to Buenos Aires, eat and drink and be merry. Might even rent a bike and cruise around a bit.

Great restaurants and nightlife; beautiful country and good lookin' wimmins.

Northern Europe is C O L D. And the only way to heat things up is to, well, heat things up!

If you like your women athletic, blond, and vixen-like just go north. Norse women are kinda what California women aspire to be - but way more comfortable warming up to you. Read a few things about the culture - find a city you'd like to see - or two - and head out. You will not be disappointed. :lol3
