Gootch, I just kept telling myself "If it doesn't get better in a hundred yards I'm going home".
And 13 1/2 miles (and one KTM on the ground) later. I think my nerves have come back.
Steven has let me put that KLR on the ground a couple of times cause I can't keep my own bikes running Let me know when the snow is gone. Who know's a good KTM tunner.
Hey Dan! how have you been? Are we going riding this year?
Man Eric what did you do to Dan? When you jump in he's gone. Dan have some that may be able to help you with your KTM tuning PM me.
Any of you fine fellers riding this weekend?
Not riding this weekend just working on bikes and waiting for some snow to go away.
Our little Oly riding group is doing our monthly street ride tomorrow. We are meeting at Dancing Goats / Batdorf & Bronson at 111 Market Street in Olympia (at the end of Capitol Way and right across from the Farmer's Market). We are leaving at 10; most of us will be showing up around 9:30 for a cup of coffee and breakfast snack before the ride. We are heading to the coast via backroads. Destination will be either south to Bay City or north towards Pacific Beach. We are a friendly group and not too hooligany so feel free to come out for the ride or even just the pre-ride coffee and bench racing.
I'll be on a big black Katoom!
When you see my old yellow CBR, a white Tiger 800, and a couple of other bikes, you'll know you're at the right place. See you tomorrow.
Ride safe fellas.
Thanks for the ride today dudes. I had a great time and it was awesome to see that part of the area. I look forward to riding more with you in the future!
Hey MaloryII, what's the current status on the KTM?
Something's up with the ignition barrel. So it's gotta go to a shop. I've been kinda busy these last few weekends so it's sitting for now.
I know it's a shock but I'm going to ride tomorrow. The WVM meets in Mt Vermin tomorrow and I'll be on the 8am ferry to Keystone(Coupville). You can bet there will be a lot of bikes, vintage and otherwise, in attendance tomorrow. Ride while you can! Dave
I'm over in port Orchard on. Looking for some dual sport riders....
It's Spring!!! We can think about places with palms on Palm Sunday when we ride West on the low roads from Quilcene. We'll do the usual plus some higher roads to see just where the snow is. Lots of bailouts for those that need to leave early and it's big bike friendly. Noobs and funugy's welcome. Breakfast at 9am at Loggers Landing, kickstand up by 10am. Dave
I wish I could make it - it's my birthday but I don't fully control what I get to do. At least it looks like the weather is on the upswing. Have a good time in that very enjoyable riding area.
There will be snow, down low. I'm gonna dress warm and plug in. My old worn chicken skins will have to be swapped out for the Trackmaster's. New gas, a new mirror, oil and attitude should be equipment enough. We'll see you next time.....Dave
