Good visibility today. The road is no longer blocked by a boulder, clear path all the way to the top.

Yes. We are still going every month. This next Saturday is the second Saturday of the month and the old former Triumph riders group will be riding somewhere. (Triumph motorcycle not at all required.)

My plan is to push for the back side of Mount St. Helens since NF 25 and 99 are still open (as of 10/29) and next weekend's weather looks pretty good (as of now). Probably the rest of the guys won't want to do that due to fear of conditions. In any case, later in the week I'll post up meeting time and place.

We have had a few Adv'ers join us on some rides and I think they would confirm that despite a lot of us being middle-agers we are not a parade type of riding group.

Dang it. Your post caused me last night to go back and take a bunch of time to review the first 65 pages of this thread. We sure used to ride a lot in the South Sound. What happened? Brings a tear to my eye. :cry

The Oly monthly street ride is tomorrow.

We are going to head to Windy Ridge via 508. The weather report looks good and as of yesterday NF roads 25 and 99 are open. If the conditions cause any trouble, we can modify the ride when we are in the area. This may one the last chances to get up there this year. (I think I am going to hook up the heated jacket liner.)

If you are afraid of large groups, I don't expect that we will have any more than 5-6 riders (unless this post stirs up a few more). Our pace tends to be a bit brisk but not sport bike fast and we are definitely big fans of everybody riding their own ride.

Meet at 9 at Dancing Goats coffee shop across from the Farmer's Market at the north end of Capitol Way (111 Market St NE, Olympia, WA 98501). You can park behind the business if people attending the market have taken all the parking. Departure will be around 9:30.

He's busy being super successful creating jobs, boosting his local economy, and enhancing a community. All through that thing we love. Beer.

Those beers show up on tap for growler fills now and then at Gravity Beer Market in Olympia.

We had a great ride up to Windy Ridge on Saturday. After battling heavy fog early east of Centralia and Chehalis, everything cleared up on the way to Morton. NF 99 on the way to Windy Ridge was empty, dry, and surprisingly free of any debris. With a dry empty road with that many curves, you know we had a good time. Plus it was sunny and warm -- hard to beat that in November.

menotknow and riceaterslc (along with his more attractive passenger) from Advrider joined the ride and I think they had a pretty good time. In any case, I think a good time was had by all and we'll be at it again next month.

We ride on the second Saturday of every month year around (unless there is snow and ice).

However, the exception is December. We usually just ride in the Salvation Army Toy Run in Olympia. It's an experience to ride in among 10,000 or so other motorcycles.

If the weather is good, we might throw in a couple more post-lunch hours of riding but sometimes we don't. I actually haven't heard when the Toy Run is this year.

I'm fortunate enough (and thankful) to be in the Capitol Forest area this Friday. Not into shopping so I'm going to take advantage of a riding opportunity. I got half a day Friday and it turns out my Saturday is open now. Thinking of hitting Waddell Creek area tomorrow at sun up (pending hangover). Last weekend for single track there. If anyone else feels up to it post here or PM to let me know. Happy Thanksgiving all.

HAHA- you are correct sir, it wasn't too bad though. I hit a couple of puddles that were about 2' deep but other than that the conditions were pretty good. It was wet though- if my gear dries out I might try it again tomorrow. I do need to avoid the deeper puddles since my airbox sits so low (6" above my right peg). It was slick too- but no skates required :evil.

My bike is a 2000 TE 610 enduro- it's plated but I usually haul to where I ride since it's no fun on pavement. Plus I wouldn't exactly call it highway legal.

I'll bet black Friday at Cabelas was an adventure :lol3.
