I plan on showing up/leaving early (If it's not a deluge). If you're heading down rte 9 maybe we can meet up somewhere and ride down/back together. Will be riding a Black KLR and wearing a red jacket. I live in the Frontier Village area.

I got permission, so unless there is something later today that comes up, I should be there this evening. Look forward to meeting some of you :1drink

    Wenduro,

Mr. Cob & I are taking off from Granite Falls about 3:15 and heading out through Machias, Snohomish, and the back way (Snoqualmie Valley rd) to Woodinville Duvall rd. It's a more entertaining ride than 9. You're welcome to join us if you want to meet up somewhere.

    Howdy Wenduro,

Unless your familiar with the area where I am meeting up with Granitehead, is kinda hard to describe. I have to go through the middle of the great metropolis of Granite Falls to meet up with GH. That being the case I could meet you at the Chevron gas station that is one block east of the stop light of Hwy.92 and Jordon Rd. This stop light is right at the east end of Hwy. 92 and just before you enter the big city. I can be at the station at 3:pM this afternoon, let me know if this works for you. :ear As I will be piloting the Ural I won't be hard to spot, however be forewarned I won't be setting any speed records while on this ride. :lol3

Holy Cow! We had at least 15 people show up! My expectations were blown away! Thanks to all of you that were able to make it! There were more than a few bystanders drooling over the bikes, too! High visibility was achieved!

The weather was perfect, the food and brew flowed, and a lot of solid connections were made. Again, thanks for the effort everyone!

I mentioned to a few of you that it would be great to find south-sound, mid-sound, and north-sound locations so that we could expand the range of our gatherings. Redhook is a great spot but we might be able to do better. I think the seating was sort of challenging and we only needed to accommodate 15 people… Redhook had the parking and visibility but lacked the interior seating space for even our smallish group. I think a year-round outdoor seating option would be optimal…we could have used the space!

So, please reply and share your favorite spot! Parking, visibility, and seating are the main needs!

As for those of you that might have forgotten to pony up some cash – no worries! I picked up the remaining tab and it was not a whole lot of money – it was more than worth the value of seeing so many good people gather in the name of ADV Riding! Buy a round next time, if you’d like!

I’ll be there tomorrow between 3:00 and 6:00 to meet more of you.

    Hope to see you! :clap

Sounds like lots of interest in more than just one meet at Redhook. All goodness! Sorry I didn't see the thread in time for tonite's event.

Another 'opportunity' for DS'ers & ADV'ers to consider is the RMC Motorsports "Full Throttle" cafe in south Renton (just off Hwy 167). Lots of no hassle parking and (odly) the place doesn't seem to have been 'found' yet by very many bikers - go figure. That may change when they move Destination Harley next door. Now could be a good time to establish some 'ADV cred' in the place before the lawyers & dentists in black leather vests & chaps take it over. :evil

I belong to a couple of Yahoo DS forums who've been using the place for a couple of years for Saturday morning breakfast gatherings, often before a ride. Usually we have 8-10 riders show. The food is good, moderate price, plus they add a buffet to the menu on weekend mornings. The staff always take pains to accommodate our group in setting up for us - a nice welcome touch. Oh yeah, the obligatory loop of distracting MX, crash, rally - enduro DVD's are on all the TV's.

DISCLAIMER: I have NO financial interest in the place (except maybe when they take my money when I buy parts & farkles in the store downstairs). I just enjoy the atmosphere, central location and the ease of access. Oh, the fact that it's only 10 miles away from my home might have something to do with why I like going there.

I think the idea of getting together is a good one. Redhook is just down the road from me and I would have loved to have joined you tonight or tomorrow but I have friends from out of town staying with me this weekend. I know the seating can be a bit challenging at Redhook so wanted to let you know that I have met friends about a block down the road at the Mazatlan mexican restaurant :grinner . It has lots of parking and lots of outside (perfect for summer) and inside seating. I am planning on riding with Dantes Dame on Sunday and we are heading to Tahuya so may see some of you then. Per Dantes Dame previous post, I guess I am a noob :rayof so I will be trying not to get left in the dirt.
