I'm looking for a place to purchase a side of beef. Thought maybe some folks here might have a recommendation?
    Thanks

I've lost most of my beef connections since moving off the farm and across the country. If you want incredibly lean meat, then look for mostly grass fed Scottish Highland beef that is finished (last month) on corn. Then you want it dry aged for a month. These guys (Hemlock Highlands) might finish and hang the beef correctly, but certainly do you due diligence.

Go to your local county fair and support the 4-H/FFA auction. :thumb

Come over and go riding with me....I'll send you home with as much grass fed beef as you can carry on the bike :D.

Someone on your side of the mtns will be raising one. I'd definalty go look at the operation first though to get an idea of how it is raised.

Give John at the Butcher Boys a call .Been friends with him for 30 + years . Good guy . He took over the shop from his dad a couple years ago after owning Morton Meats for 10 years . He should be able to find you whatever you want , local grass fed or whatever . . 253-840-1099

Well, of course, Olson's Meats there on SR 164 just west of Enumclaw is near you and reliable. If you want something more exotic, consider Eat Wild with links to many farms.

I guess you could split it with somebody ahead of time. Hard to find people around anymore though that want that much meat at once and have the means to store it. Most people think meat only comes in plastic wrapped packages with styrofoam trays. :lol3
