A guy in Phoenix is selling this bike. It was built by a guy in CA that had moved to OR and then moved to North Carolina.

Has a dual shock under the seat set up. Just trying to find the history to the R100 before pulling the trigger.

Looks like the front and rear wheels were woody's laced.

Dual shock under a modified rear subframe. Frame braces. Is it done well?? Looks like a project to finish but if all work was done well may be a very good setup. What year is the bike??

    Keep us posted

    Thx

It started out as R100RS. He didn't know ..but looking at the amount of wiring it had to be a RS or RT

Just looking at the suspension, it might be a Larryboy build? I think he did something with dual shocks on his CB490.

The battery hold down looks exactly like a belt I used to have.

Yeah I've seen that shock setup on a CB or two. It's interesting, but I don't get the purpose too well.

Not nearly as scary as those subframes welded up out of 1/4" solid tube with no cross members. I am afraid those are going to hurt some people.

It's like a Vincent. That's the only reason I can think of why you would do it that way.

The only reason I can see was so that the builder could reuse the stock twin shocks that came on the bike.

    Wow, kinda scary looking bike.

From a structural standpoint, I definitely don't like the way the rear mount of the shocks look.

Yeah 1000 is a good offer.

I would suggest he finish the bike correctly then ask 2500

I got out of the car , reached over for a 12 inch piece of glass.
Talked to this guy and he said it wasn't bent and it was. Look at one
of the pics and you will see a wave on the brace.

The forks are off too... straight glass and bubble level will never lie.

    37/11 final drive
Think the trans is shot. He left the boot off since he changed over
to a speedo only. Left the vent hole open and he didn't even knew why/what that
vent was for. Missing the gages/ chopped the wiring. Gas tank was dented with
the triple tree fro FZR. The brakelines are questionable . Fuel lines were off and tank was
drained.. but smelled like paint thinner.

He will some sucker to but it. Nice thing were the rims. If I purchased it .. I would have taken the shock mounts
and improved on it. The rear sets were nice .. SO MUCH WRONG WITH THIS BIKE.

My ears were burning. I've looked at this thread 4-5 times today looking at different parts of the bike and it does not look familiar. There was a similar bike built in the early 90's by a dirt bag that would come around the shop looking for cheap parts and free advice but I don't know if he ever finished it. He is serving a life sentence so I would not know how to ask him.
