Yes,very handy around mechanical things, serviced her car yesterday in fact...
Just found this on FB...
Yes sure is, Darren cook is a good bloke and it's a good charity to support.
Who's doing the 'Alpine' this year ?
OK - WTF ?
Thiunk I need to do some riding - getting stale again - fermenting even
Outside in the fresh air and do some landscaping !
Hey @hunter_greyghost ,
Balance is certainly the key ...
Life vs Bikes
Riding vs Fixing
This weekend is for riding - hopefully not on ice - though it could be the case !
Alpine this weekend ! Meeting Strudy in Tumut on Saturday
I live with this on a daily basis.
As an ex-servicemen I was diagnosed with anxiety depression and hyper vigilance and have trouble leaving the four walls of home.
The only relief I get is when I take the GS for a brisk ride.
I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.
Hey welcome OzRider
Sad to hear of your situation, but it must be nice when you get the chance to get out on your GS for a ride.
You certainly live in a great part of Aus
Thank god we have bikes, don't know what I would do without them.
Well, didn't make 'Alpine' but I have got to the stage in life where I don't apologise to anyone for how I live my life,
avoided getting a 'flu [or worse], and spent some quality time with grandkids [2 of], and step-son [who's a builder] and we hooked into the back room yesterday, well Bev & Greg did - good to see mother & son working together,
I was keeping the boys entertained [my feet were R/S] - 10yr olds are different to our generation [well I grew up on a 3,600 acre property], but learning to drive is one thing they love to do when over here - even if it's the basics on a ride-on mower !
a much better result for the weekend and no 'flu, yep - priorities are what we make them,
our bodies are what we have to deal with, and sometimes one decides for the other !
Still aching this morning but not from the dreaded 'lurgy' but from the satisfaction of hard work [not all babysitting!] - a much better outcome
Hope everyone is OK and had a good weekend
A good friend of mine who played bass in the band we both started in 1984 The Exploding White Mice took his own life a few weeks ago, we had been friends for 35 years. Im devastated , I
knew he suffered from depression as dp I . I guess it always hits you hardest when they give the impression of being happy , new girlfriend , his other band the Pro Tools preparing to go
on there first European tour The Mice were about to start practicing for a couple of gigs in Sydney with the Hitmen in August . For the man I thought of as Mr Rock n Roll I can't beleve it.
