Just bought this baby from the flea market.. Is now in transit and should be here in 5-10 days. I can't WAIT. I sincerely hope it arrives before significant, persistent snow!!

I was debating between the VTR1000F Superhawk and the TL1000S. I ended up with the TL and I love it. But after a few years Suzuki's dodgy build has started to show though. Then Suzuki SV build looks even cheaper. It's too bad that category is going unfilled in modern bike lineups. If Honda updated the Superhawk it would have been a nice machine.

Other twins I considered were an XR1200 HD i rode once and that was a hell of a lot of fun, but the seat is pretty terrible.

I also rode a Hypermotard 1100S and I really loved that bike too, but I think I'd end up in jail if I owned one.

Thanks for the comments ... I was looking for a Futura several years ago when the Falco showed up on Craigslist.

Here she is in sport touring mode. Snowshoes optional :D

I hadn't really thought about it, but I have had three street bikes and all have been v-twins. I had a Honda CX500 back in 82, then I was without a bike for many years till I bought a Harley Davidson FXDX in 2003 and my Buell in 2010. I still own the Harley and the Buell. As you can see, I am a buy and keep guy, not a trade bikes constantly guy and I guess I prefer v-twins. Although, I did really like my son's Ducati, and I think they are called L-twins.
