Finally figured out why it is called a "wash"
Sunset near San Juanico
That is a fantastic pic!
I just love silhouette photos like that....well done.
Awesome Sunset Pic
Absolutely beautiful pic. Where taken?
Baja California , Mexico
It is right at the top of Calamuje Wash / was taken in 2015 . Must be 60 miles or so , before the turn off to Bahia de Los Angeles .
I was probably 1/2 mile off of Mex 1 - there are some corrals there , at the top of the wash . Just in behind those corrals .
In the evening , the sky was purty washed out -next morning after coffee , I just 180' from this photo and grabbed the one you are asking about .
Here is evening pic .
In 2015 I went by myself for a run down South .
But in 2012 , my buddy Doug and I , took our 650s .
We turned left somewhere near Coco's and rode out to the fish camp on Calamujue Bay
This was the road - Doug snapped this pic of me headed in
Here is my photo of the fish camp on Calamjue Bay
We thought about camping down here , until the wind changed - jeebus does it stink ! Year of dumping fish guts and shells - wow
So we rode back inland a few miles , as I had spotted a good place to camp
Next morning , when I got up to take a leak - had my camera and grabbed this shot
Then later that morning , after coffee , we rode out the wash to the highway . That is when I mentally jotted down the cool camp spot, behind the corrals .
Here I am , headed for the deep sand , up top . This is clear down in the bottom , by the old mission spot . Mission de Calamajue
That is a long answer to a short question - I hope it helps .
Years ago , I started a ride report from this trip - I should finish it ...
Great pics Ken.
