This may be the answer for some of us older folks...
I was promised beautiful women.
The $ ta performance value w/ bikes have alwayz made 'em appealing to me.
I sometimes have half a crazy mind to pick up an old smoker streetbike to fix up just for the shits and giggles of a street smoker.
Or if I had more money than sense - fabricate a 600cc twin cylinder KTM smoker engine and stick it into some modern sporty frame.

Marco Island, FL breakfast ride Monday morning.
Are those Urals?
Three Urals, one Can Am, one BMW, and my Kawasaki W650.
For me it is the Thrill of Acceleration, Cornering and Sliding around on gravel.
I ride to travel and explore remote dirt roads. When I was young I raced motocross for a number of years. But injuries, family and career got in the way. 20 years later I was smitten by a Ducati so I bought it and rode that around for a few years. Then I found this website, which introduced me to a new type of riding. I was going to buy a BMW GS, but I stopped into a tiny KTM shop and sat on a new 2004 950 Adventure. Dang! Sat like my old YZ's. She came home with me and I rode two Alcan 5000's and explored the west with her. Today I still have that old Duc and ride it enough to keep her going, but my main rides are a KTM 690R and a Yamaha Wr250R. I have become proficient making and riding GPS tracks. I have ridden routes from Maine to California. Pony Express, Oregon Trl, CDR, and am discovering and acquiring new routes every year. I do a few dual sport charity rides every year too. I guess I do it because I still can. You never know about that.
Way too fast!
That sort of speed might encourage hooliganism of the worst sort. [If you say that in a Russian accent, it sounds far more sinister.]
More freedom riding a bike then driving a car (driving a dualsport I can go anywhere !). Plus the power of smokin everyone around you with a simple twist of the wrist :)
