I like the stairs clip - seemed like when you went all of the way back down and fell you look around the parking lot to see if anybody saw you.....

i finally got to watch the vid...

    glad you're ok.
for some reason, right there at the end of that slide i was expecting an umpire to run out of the brush and yell "SAFE!"

i've toured around some roads between ellijay, dalohnega and helen. there are quiet a few turns like that one. combine decreasing radius with the crown of the road (and/or additional camber) and it can make for a complicated ride.

Sure glad that you're OK. Well take that dirt riding class and maybe a rider safety class. Hard to tell the speed in the video but it looked fast to me, noticed that car beep the horn at you. You got distracted with the dirt on the road. When that happens just lean and don't touch the brakes. Been there done that. IF you go down leaning it will be a low side anyway. Better to go down that way with good gear on.

    100% speculation follows.

"Your eyes direct you to the scene of the crash." Hard to tell with the camera mounted ahead, but it looks at first blush like "target fixation" where you look at the side of the road and think, "Oh shit, I'm not going to make it."

The suggested remedy is "Keep riding." Force your vision ahead and to the apex or exit point of the turn and let the amazing hand/eye machinery connected to your brain do it's thing.

Next, your line looks very "sloppy." It doesn't look like you pick an apex and exit point and try to hit them - you just go with the flow. Look ahead, decide on a line, and hit that line. You don't have to be aggresive and use the whole road surface - you just need a Plan A - so you'll know if you are on Plan B.

Finally, about your steed. Here's your front tire section compared to a V-Strom.

And here's the V-Strom compared to a sport touring OEM front on an SV.

And here's the difference between a stock SV tire and a high performance tire.

Guess which one works the best going fast on asphalt? Worst?
